The world hates me. thought Koga numbly. "Hey, Koga!" She turned to see her best friend Daisy spring at her making her fall to the soft and leafy growing with a thump. "Daisy! What'd ya do that for?!" Growled Koga. Bella walked up to them before Daisy could respond, " You two better get your acts straight. Alpha won't be happy to hear you two are bickering again." They nodded and walked away slowly. When Bella walked away and was out of earshot Daisy whispered in Koga's ear," She's gone." Koga smiled and leaped at her playfully and wrestled until they couldn't breath. Daisy lunged at her once again but was grabbed by the scruff of her neck and gently tossed away. It was Alpha. Koga bowed down to the towering she-wolf. "Alpha, is something wrong?" She asked solemnly. She shook her head, " Not at all little one. I was just curious about how you were feeling today." Koga's eyes widened, how I'm feeling? What does she think?! My mother just died! She thought. Just before she could reply, the new Beta of the pack walked up to them. Great! She thought. Now I have both of the top ranks looking down on me like I'm a newborn! He looked down angrily, " Your Alpha has asked you a question pup! Answer her immediately!" "Hush, Fang! She's been through enough already without you butchering her for answers to simple questions! It's not like I was asking who she wanted to be her mate or anything like that!" She growled angrily. Koga growled, "Can you please stop fussing over me like I'm a newborn pup! I'm already a trainee!" Alpha crouched down to try and sooth her but Koga backed away still growling. Kill. You must kill them so you can make them understand. Kill. Kill. Kill!!! She growled louder and louder until they all felt like her throat would explode. "You don't understand how it feels." She rasped. Alpha sat down and fixed her with a stern gaze. "No. I don't understand. So make me. Make me understand how much you're hurting." She growled. Koga growled and her eyes turned blood red, "None of you understand what it feels like to have a demon in you telling you to kill everyone! Even the ones you love most! This side of me made me kill my own mother!" Alpha just sat there stunned," You were the one who killed your mother?" She asked numbly. Beta stood behind Koga growling. "How could you kill your own mother?! Traitor! Murderer!" He howled. Koga spun around and lunged at him, pinning him to the ground. "Do you think I wanted to become like this?! Huh?! I was cursed with this! I never wanted to hurt anyone but the voice in my head can control what I do and when I do it!" Her eyes started to glow and as she dove down to bite on his neck, red streaks came from her eyes as if she was possessed. He tried to howl but his mouth soon gushed with his own blood and soon he was limp. Alpha stood up and howled in grief for her fallen mate, "No! How could you?! I'll kill you for the treason you've committed!" She howled as she lunged at Koga. Koga spun around, Beta's blood glistening in her fangs. "You think I can't do the same to you?" She asked menacingly. Alpha gasped and stopped for she saw that the evil tone in her voice did not match her eyes. Her eyes were pleading for an escape from the darkness engulfing her inside. Alpha smiled and Koga frowned, "Why do you smile? Don't you know you're about to die?!" Koga growled. Alpha shook her head, "From my perspective, I think not. I hope you won't kill me but I have no control over your actions so you may do as you please." She said coolly. Koga growled louder, "Silence!" She howled as she lunged at Alpha and sunk her teeth into her neck. Daisy watched in horror as her parents were mutilated by Koga. "Why Koga...Why?" Koga turned towards her slowly. "Why? Why what?" Asked Koga confused. Daisy realized that Koga had turned back to normal and she ran up to her. "Koga! You're back! I'm so glad!" Yelped Daisy happily. Koga tilted her head, "Back?" Daisy shook her head, "Never mind that." Just then they heard vicious howls surrounding them. Koga looked around and saw her pack barring their fangs at her. Daisy's mother came rushing over and she pulled Daisy away from Koga. "Mother?! What are you doing?! Stop! Koga!" She yelled as she tried to vainly run back to her. The wolves behind Koga started pushing her away from the camp. Koga stared at her den mates as they slowly joined the others. She recognized some of them, "Dawn! Mimi! Rex! Please help me!" She howled. They ignored her and started to growl painfully. "I'm so sorry..." Whispered Dawn. The others nodded in agreement as they looked at her sadly. Koga turned around and started to run away. She ran as fast as she could knowing her pack were close behind. She ran faster than she ever ran before and dove up into a tree cavity. She heard the others rush the tree. She put her head down and eventually dozed off. THUMP! She jolted awake and looked around not seeing the familiar scenery of her den. It's dark. So dark. I can't see two steps ahead of me. Where am I? She thought. THUMP! There it was again. What was it? She poked her head out and gasped when she saw her pack gathered around the bottom of the tree taking turns ramming into the base of the tree to try and knock it down. She looked around for an escape other than the way she came in. She found a hole a little ways below her and crawled down to jump out of it. She landed on a patch of fresh leaves and she ran into the thick brush trying to keep quiet. "There she is! Get her!" Howled Bella. She ran through the forest and fell when she was dragged back with strong jaws. "Stop! It wasn't me! Help!" She howled as she was pulled back into a bush. "Would you stop being so paranoid." Whispered Daisy. "Daisy!" "Shh! Don't be so loud! They'll hear you!" She whispered harshly as the pack ran past. "Where is she?! She can't have disappeared!" They were long gone by the time they started running towards the exit out of the forest. "Why are you doing this? Isn't your mother going to be mad at you for helping me?" Asked Koga. Daisy shook her head, "Naw, my mother was only putting on an act that time. She sent me away from the others to look for you and make sure you're okay." Koga smiled, "Thank your mother for me when you get back to the camp." Daisy shook her head, "No. She told me to stay with you until you're completely safe." Koga nodded and smiled, "Well, if we ever cross paths with her, I'll be sure to thank her personally." They both smiled and padded over the border between the human town and the forest. Their journey has only just begun.
