*Madelyn's POV*
Saturday, April 22nd, 2011

I smiled at the man who appeared at the register. His profile was still and filled with no emotion. His eyes were sculpted with hatred and pain. He was intimidating and built. Like most customers that came through each day which is unhappy.

"What can I get for you today?" I asked him nicely with a grim smile forming on my cheeks. I was turning red and I was hoping he couldn't tell.

"The Big Mac. Please." He stumbled with his words. He looked nervous. Why is he so nervous? It couldn't be because he's socially awkward. I would know what that's like.

My coworker Kyle came up behind me to review the order on the screen and gathered the supplies.

The built man stared at me the whole time.

"Here you go sir," I muttered and gave him his change. "Have a nice day."

He walked away without even saying thank you.

"Try not to look so scared next time," I jumped at the voice and looked at Kyle laughing and putting his hand on my shoulder. I pushed him away with all my power and crossed my arms.

"Shut up." I said sourly looking away from him. He's so annoying.

"You're such a girl, get over it." He rolled his eyes and took a window order.

"Sarah can you restock the cups please?" I yelled across McDonald's.

I went to the register and clocked myself out. 8 hours of working on a Saturday? I can't believe I'm still alive.

I climbed in my car after work and turned on the radio as the usual punk music filled my ears with joy.

I pulled in my driveway and turned off my car. I walked into my house and sighed to myself. I walked straight upstairs and to my laptop. That's right, electronics before family.

"Did you just roll out of bed there Maddy?" Kyle scrunched his nose.

"No," I rolled my eyes. He doesn't even make sense. Is he even hearing himself? He sounds so stupid but people still praise him. How? How does he live with all that stupidity?

Tyler stood beside Kyle now. Tyler's like his side ho. Equally as stupid and nearly as cocky.

"Hey Kyle." Tyler gave Kyle a disgusting hug thing and I just kind of backed up. "Tara wants you," He said in a soft voice but I could still hear. That's how non-intelligent they are. They THINK they're whispering but they can be heard from a mile away.

"No," is all I could hear from Kyle. He said something else but it was muffled.

"Stupid." I mumbled.

"What?" Tyler asked burning up.

"Nothing," I smiled proudly.

I hurt his little ego. Like I care, they act like they hurt mine all the time.

The bell rang and I walked the other way swiftly making my way to my next class.
