You walked into your shared apartment with your boyfriend Michael. He was sat on the couch playing FIFA. His head perked up when he heard your feet pad on the hard wood floors.
"Hey babe!", he says to you.
"Hi!", you say, setting down your purse. You sat down on the couch next to him. He pulls you into his side and kisses your head.
"Hey. What kind of welcome home kiss was that?", you say laughing. You look up at him as he brings your face closer to his to kiss your lips.
"Better?", he says to you.
"Much", you say giggling.
"Do you wanna order pizza?", he says to you. You nod and head to get the phone to order it. You ordered a small pepperoni pizza for you and another for Michael.
You went back to sit on the couch and turned on a movie. Around 20 minutes later someone knocked on your door. Michael went to go grab the pizza and sat back down on the couch.
Michael and you continued to watch the movie, Sid and Nancy, when he shouted.
"Y/N, i love you", he shouts. You nearly choked on your drink as he yelled.
"What?" you say.
"i..love..you" he says again very slowly. You smile ear to ear as he blushes.
"Michael. i love you too", you say. He crashed into you and gives you a big bear hug.
He puts his hands on both sides of your face and kisses you.
You were nervous when he said i love you. He was nervous you weren't going to say it back.
You knew that it didn't have to be a fancy dinner for your first 'i love yous' to be special. You just needed Michael and he needed you.
