There once was a little potato. Everywhere he went he left a funky smell. All of the kids at school called the stink "mashed", so every time little potato passed by the kids would yell,"Ahhh! Mashed Potato! Mashed Potato!" This made Little Potato feel bad, which made him think bad thoughts. Little Potato went to school the next day with a hammer, and every time a kid yelled,"Mashed Potato!" Little Potato smashed them. He would then yell out "Mashed Potato!" So, that is where mashed potatoes come from.
