Would I ever see him again? He only left two simple words, two simple words that broke my heart. It's getting harder to carry on living. "I'm sorry."

As I stood I felt the hard edge of life against my throat and I thought to myself, what did those two simple words mean? Later that night I got a call. As I picked up the phone I had a gut wrenching feeling that something horrible had happened. I picked up the phone anyway.

"Miss Jackson?" a voice spoke.

"Yes, that's me," I replied.

"I'm sorry to inform you, but your boyfriend Mark passed away," she spoke.

"Thank you, uh goodbye."

I went to the bathroom seeing no need for life anymore. There was a window and the last words she muttered before jumping was, "I'm sorry."
