The next day at my locker, me and jess are talking and when she sees my wrist.

Her jaw drops open and she scoffs. "I can't believe you. I told you not to get involved with him again. What do you think your doing? You know he's just messing with you, right? You're the only girl he hasn't messed with your mind yet.''

"umm... living my life how I choose to live it. You're not my mother and another thing, you never even told me why I'm supposed to stay away from him.'' I defend myself, even though I shouldn't have to.

"ugh. Could you like not be a slut for 5 minutes?! oh my god?!!''

Right after she says that, her new boyfriend and her little popular gang comes over and takes her away.

I sigh and get try to get to my next class but get distracted by Hayes with his friends, slightly pulling out drugs from his pocket.

"babe, what are you doing?'' Cassidy asks me as we sit next to each other on my bed.

"oh, nothing.'' I tell her.

"you seem upset. Its obviously not nothing. But whos Ariel?''

"no one important. At least not anymore.''

"oh... okay. Well, lets not put a downer on out 6 months. I know how to make it exciting. Ive been wanting to do this so long.''

She smashes our lips together and not even hesitantly wraps her fingers around my belt buckle and starts to undo it.

I put my hand on her shoulder and push her away. "what the hell, Cassidy?!''

She tucks a string of hair behind her ear, blushing. "I'm sorry, I just thought you would've wanted me to give you something special. Cause ya know, its a special day.'' she shrugs.

"no!! I told you I'm not that type of person. If you wanna be like that then we can be done and you can find somebody else to be your toy.''

She furrows her eyebrows in confusion. "wait, so what are you saying?''

"I don't know, make your decision and ill tell you what I'm saying.''

"ugh, Cole. I'm not gonnbe like that if its not with you.''

I shake my head and for now, just let it go.
