4. In Love Again

"Alright, girls. Come on, lead the way to the general office. We have some serious business to do." Officer Gordon smiled. He is so gorgeous. The way his long fringe incidently got in the way of his view is so mouth-watering. 

"Yeah, sure. Here it is." Amelia chirped happily and lead the way. Amelia is so weird. She should be feeling sad that she lost her phone. 

We followed Amelia down the corridor, and got many curious looks from students of our school. I bet they were thinking what bad thing we had did to got in trouble with the police! HAHAHA. I can totally imagine that. 

And, at that moment, Zen and Jamie came into view. Oh well. At the wrong timing though. 

Their mouth hung WIDE open when they saw me walk beside the officer, while Amelia was infront. To make things look even more misleading, i place my hand at the back. Their expression was priceless. 

"Officer, this is the general office." Amelia smiled politely. 

"Thank you, Amelia" He answered so hotly. 

He spoked to Mrs Wood, one of the staffs at the office who does paper works. Mrs Wood nodded her head and guide all of us to the room where all the CCTVs are placed at. 

I saw Amelia walking away from her table and shortly after, another girl whom had her face covered by her hair walked towards her bag, pretended to hit it slightly, and walked off. 

Soon after, Amelia came back. Gordon immediately stopped the CCTV and asked Amelia a few questions while I was thinking who the girl could have been.

"Mom! I am home!" I shouted as i placed my bagpack on to the dining table's chair. 

I walked further into the house. "

"Mom! Bernice? Brendan?" I shouted as I walked into the first room. That's strange. Usually they were at home. 

Bang! 

A loud noise came from the last room. My body froze. 

"Mom?" I asked. 

"Bernice? Brendan?" I asked even softer. 

"Dad?" I asked, barely a whisper. 

I went NINJA. And took an umbrella from the kitchen. I hold on to it so tightly, trying to defend myself if whoever in the room is trying to do. 

I kicked opened the door, and saw my Mom tied to the bed side with her mouth taped and she was naked other than the bed sheet covering the bottom half of her body. The window was broken, with signs of someone escaping. I was horrified. 

I immediately ran to my mother's side. Peeled away the tape that was covering her mouth, and untie her. She made no movement or noise no matter how hard i called her. 

"Debbie?" My sister, Bernice called.

"Bernice! Call the ambulance. Please. Mom's in danger" I shouted.

"What? OK" She shouted back hurriedly too.

I hurriedly, took off my hoodie and wear it over my mother. Her stomach have traces of blood. I used all my strength to lift my, weak mother up. And hang her arm over my shoulder. After Bernice hang up the call. She ran over to my side and help to lift her up. 

"What happened?" She asked worriedly as we both lifted her to the door. I grabbed the bed sheets and wrapped the bottom half of her body. 

"I...don't know... Bernice." I stumbbled over my words. That was when I realize I was badly emotionally shakened by the whole incident. 

The sirens were soon heard from our house. I immediately opened the door, and together with my sister. Bernice and I held on to our mother, and lifted her up to the drive way, as the paramedics set up the stretcher. 

"What happened?" A nurse asked. 

"I don't know either nurse. My sister found my mother lying in the room. I don't know what exactly happened. She's too shakened to talk about it. Please send my Mom to the hospital first." Bernice said quickly.
