I dreamt of my life in the future if I hadn't had cancer. I dreamt of having a simple but cozy house and kids that ran to greet me when I came through the door. And my husband that hugged and kissed me when he got home.
I opened my eyes and turned over in my bed. It was 8:00 A.M. I felt like there was more weight on my shoulders than usual. My phone suddenly buzzed on the bedside table. I grabbed it and it was a text from Niall.
Hey can we come over? We've got a surprise!
I texted back a yes and got up and got dressed. I rolled my cart over to the bathroom I looked into the mirror. I gently touched the new tube they added to my face. Then I noticed how dark my hair had gotten. Sometimes when I look at my reflection I can only see the tubes. But now I was notciing some other things. I was paler. My green eyes were brighter because of my hair. I'd gotten skinnier.
I sighed and came out of the bathroom. Shortly after there was a knock on my door. I walked over and opened the door. All the boys rushed in. Niall gave me one of his famous hugs. I avoided Harry's eyes. It's not that I didn't want to be around him but his words had made a real impact.
Niall was holding a guitar.
I raised my brow and they lined up. Niall, Liam, Harry, Louis, and Zayn. Niall started to strum and I sat down on my uncomfortable bed.
Louis started out " I hope the days come easy and the moments past slow, and each road leads you where you want to go-"
Then Liam chimed in with his amazing voice. " And if you're forced with a choice, and you have to choose I hope you choose the one that means the most to you."
Liam winked and Zayn started to sing. " And if one doors opened and the other one closed, I hope you keep on walking till you find the window."
Niall smiled and started singing. His voice was my second favorite. "And if it's cold outside, show the world the warmth of your smile, more than anything, more than anything-"
Then Harry looked right at me and I couldn't look away. His powerful voice filled the room and brought goosebumps to my arms. "My wish to you is that life becomes all that you want it to, your dreams stay big and your worries stay small, you never need to carry more than you can hold. And while you're out there getting to where your getting to, I hope you know somebody loves you, and wants the same things too, yeah this is my wish." He ended softly.
Tears threatened to spill over my eyes. It was a sad song especially for me but at the same thing it was- it was just amazing. I went right up to Harry and hugged him the cologne filled my noise. I knew this was his idea. Several emotions went through me. I don't know how it happened in this short time but,
I think I was in love with Harry Styles.
