Chapter One: Join or Else

'I don't really like to open up to people, but I do have a couple of friends and they are there for me when I need them. Though I have a problem on my hands at the moment and I don't really know what to do about it.'

I look in the mirror after applying some face paint to the right half of my face and smirk. I did a cool black and white design with some red for blood in it around my eye. I finish getting ready for the match that I have tonight against Charlotte and I will get my revenge against her because she said things about my father that I'm not too happy with. How dare she disrespect my father? She already disrespected her own father and then tried to make it look like oh I was just doing that because in the professional world I don't need you. I think she's fucking ignorant and a bitch. I slip on my waist coat that is midnight black with a scorpion on the back of it and I walk out of my locker room. I will not let Charlotte get away with disrespecting my father like she did and I will show her just why you don't mess with Ash Borden or as they call me, Pain. I walk down the hallway and I can tell that some people are watching me. I don't really care as I care my dad's signature bat with me to the entrance ramp and I stop right before the curtain. I look at it as I take a deep breath and soon my music hits.

*Seth's POV*

So tonight Ash Borden or well Pain is facing off against a member of The Authority. Charlotte is our female member other than Stephanie, but I'm getting tired of Charlotte being on the team because she has just been bitching and bitching about shit. I watch the TV screen as Ash makes her way to the ring with that bat of her father's and I can see Charlotte just glaring at her. I shake my head as I keep watching and Stephanie says "I want you to go out there if Ash wins and I want you to ask her to join us." I look at Stephanie and I say "she isn't going to want to join us." Stephanie says "oh she will because of this." My eyes widen as I see Kane drag Sting into the office and I look at the poor guy. Sure I was very pissed with him at one point, but this is just wrong and I notice the look on Stephanie's face. I say "I-I alright....I guess I'll do this." Stephanie laughs and pats my shoulder. I turn my attention back to the match and soon leave the office.

*Back to Ash's POV*

I do a scissor kick and plant Charlotte on the mat, pinning her as the ref counts to three. I get up as I stand there in the ring, feeling happy about the fact that I just pinned the WWE Women's Champion. I turn my attention to the ramp when I hear Seth Rollins' music and he stands there laughing. I just look at him and he soon says "well that was impressive. We could use someone like you on The Authority." I shake my head and soon I look up at the triton when I see my father on his knees with Kane behind him, feeling the worry set in with fear. Seth says "you either join us or something happens to your dad. I'll be waiting backstage for your answer." I watch the screen go black and I hurry to get out of the ring as I grab the bat, running backstage. I get through the curtain and end up running right into Seth. I fall on the floor and Seth shakes his head as he pulls me up. I ask "where the hell is my father?" Seth says "whoa now. You just have to join us and your father will be set free." I feel the tears of anger forming in my eyes and I slap Seth as I say "you will never get me to join you. I'll fucking find him myself." I walk away from Seth and head for Stephanie's office. I hold the bat tightly as I get to the office and kick the door in, but no one is in the office. I walk around looking for clues and soon I see a note. I pick it up as I read it and it says 'you want your father? Well you have to join us or else my husband will make sure your father never does anything ever again.' My hand starts shaking as I hold the note and soon I fall to my knees as I hang my head. I feel the tears start to fall as I sit there on my knees, hating myself for not having him come out to the ring with me and I hear the office door close.

Seth says "listen, Ash. You just have to agree to be on The Authority's side. I promise you that nothing will happen to your father." I get up off my knees as I walk over to him, grabbing him by his shirt collar and ask "how the hell can you promise that he will be alright even if I join up with you guys?" I feel the anger boiling up inside of me and Seth says "because my word matters." I shove him backwards and he bumps into the wall. I glare at him as I yell "FINE! I'll join your fucking group." I storm out of the office as I wipe the tears away and wipe the face paint off as I head for my locker room to get changed quickly. I need to get to my father and make sure that he's alright. I swear that if they hurt him, I will end them all.

'I will not let them control me. I will get my father away from them and then I will destroy them. I will not stop until I have taken out every last one of them. They will pay for the things that they have done to my family.'
