The warmth of the sun doesn't fade away her strength and spirit, as she finishes tending her farm, she returns back to her nice small house when the sun starts to settle down.

She boils some water and start preparing for dinner, she always does the same thing every single evening, preparing meal for two serving, in hope for the return of her beloved husband.

They have been married for nine years, yet a year after they got married, her husband moved into New York in hope for a better life, as he promised to return and bring her along when he has become a better man.

She looks at her wedding ring, it is just a simple silver ring, it is not gold or diamond, but she is happy.

She still holds that promise close to her heart. As she smiles gently at their wedding picture.
They were not rich, she wore a hands down wedding gown from her mother. But she was happy, being married to the man she has always loved was something special for her, that she will never forget

"Oh, dear Natasha, have you heard about the news yet ?" Granny Mary says while knitting, her gray hair is tied in a bun, and her round glasses is hanging on her nose, she does the same thing every single day, Natasha helps to take care of her, and she loves to start a conversation.

"What is it ?" She says curiously. "Your husband, I heard he has returned here"

Natasha's eyes widen at that info. Has Nicholas returned ? But so, how come she hasn't heard about it yet ?

"oh, and he also brought a beautiful young lady, they seem to have something around them"

A young lady ?

"May I know where you find that ?"

"Oh, they just came here yesterday and it seems like they stay in a hotel, I'm sure I still have the newspaper, let me see"

She stands up and take a newspaper, then show it to Natasha to see.

"Tigress Club CEO's Affair ?"

The headline was shown, and she sees a picture of her husband with a blonde young woman. They are so close, it almost a bit too close.

She gives it a quick read and notice the name, it's her husband name and a stranger name called Helena Terence.

"May I ask you which hotel they are staying in ?"

She rushes to the hotel mentioned, and witness her husband coming out from the front door with the woman in the picture.

He is more handsome now, and richer. Dressed all fancy and elegant, matching the lady besides him.

His once tan skin is slightly paler, and his shoulder length hair has been cut short now.

They laugh together, and suddenly, the woman beside him gives him a passionate kiss on the lips, and he returns the kiss without hesitation.

At that moment, there is a Storm struck inside her heart. She knows in an instant, that her husband has betrayed her.

It seems like he achieved what he wanted, wealth and power, but at the same time, he seems to have forgotten her.

Her heart hurts. She doesn't know whether she should run away, or approach him.

She wants to hug him, show him how much she has missed him.
But at the same time, she knows, that he will not acknowledged her, as she is just a countryside girl who has no wealth or power.

She knows she is no match for that woman beside him, and that pains her.

But there is something more than mere sadness, there is a feeling of anger and betrayed.

She clench her fist in anger.

Now she knows the reason why.

Why he never replies the letter she sent him every single week.

Why he never gives her any news of his whereabout.

Why he never once slept with her, he didn't even bother to touch her, the only kiss they had was on their wedding.

As shameful as it is, she remained a virgin after they were married because he would refuse doing anything with her.

Now she knows why.

And she will not sit still knowing so.

Something dark that she has never thought of arise to the surface of her mind.
