It was already pretty late in Gotham and everyone knows that walking home at night in this city is risky and dangerous.  But a certain 18 year old girl just had to stay till the library closed that night.  Let's just say she's a bookworm.  Raven Blackwood, nerd, geek, intelligent, very shy, quiet, only child, father is dead mother is still alive, bullied a lot, loves purple, hair is all black, sliver eyes, loves to read and loves photography, secretly is an amazing singer, and has a hopeless crush on Tim Drake.
Yeah she seems pretty normal but just you wait she won't seem so normal later on.  Especially when she becomes friends with a certain Robin.

Raven had just finished checking out of the library and started walking down the street towards her apartment building.  She hugged the books she was holding tightly as she walked down the dark street.  It made her feel uneasy, like someone was watching her.  She started to pick up the pace a bit when she heard movement in an alley way near by.  "Calm down Raven, it was probably just a rat or something right?" Raven thought trying to stay calm.
She walked down a couple more blocks and was almost to her apartment building when someone or something grabbed her and dragged her into an alley way.  She almost screamed but shut up when a gun was pressed against her head.  "Back off Red Robin or I'll shoot this girl! You hear me!" yelled the man who held the gun to Raven's head.  "Come on Two-Face just let her go this is between you and me!" a voice yelled back.

Raven looked and saw Red Robin jump down into the alley way and dared to look up and saw it was indeed Two-Face that was holding her at gun point.  "I said back off! Or I'll blow her head off!" Two-Face threatened pressing the gun harder against Raven's head making her whimper a bit.  Red Robin stopped in his tracks looking at Two-Face but when he looked down at Raven his eyes widened a bit which only Raven seemed to notice.
"Look Two-Face she has nothing to do with this, so just let her go. It will make things a lot easier for both of us," Red Robin said trying to reason with the maniac, which duh probably isn't the best choice for the situation.  Raven heard a car come up from behind them and stop, "Now this is what's going to happen, I'm going to get into the car with the girl and if you even try to follow I promise you I will blow her brains out," Two-Face said slowly backing up toward the car, dragging Raven with him.  Red Robin only clenched his fists tightly and gritted his teeth as he watched helplessly as Two-Face got into the car with Raven.  Although him being smarter than Two-Face, he quickly threw a tracking device on the get away car before it drove off.
"Okay let's see where you're heading off to Two-Face," Red Robin mumbled as he pulled out the tracker.  Quickly he took out his grappling hook and started to follow Two-Face secretly over the roof tops.

Raven was tied up with rope around her wrists and ankles and gagged with a rag when she got into the car by one of Two-Face's goons.  She was scared, no terrified.  She didn't want to die and she had no intention of getting involved into any of this mess in the first place.  "So boss what's with the girl here?" the goon asked curiously.  "She was walking by the alley way and she was my only leverage against Red Robin to bye time for the get away car," Two-Face replied roughly, taking something out of his pocket.
"But it was all worth it in the end when I got this," Two-Face said taking out a purple gem.  It was an amethyst, but not just any amethyst, the Amethyst of Wisdom.  It was found in ancient Egyptian ruins in the desert and is said to give someone great powers like telekinesis.  No one exactly knows how to get the powers from the amethyst but for some unknown reason Two-Face thinks he's smart enough to figure it out.

The car came to a stop at a warehouse and Raven was carried in over the shoulder of a goon.  When they entered Raven was set down against the wall and justed watched as Two-Face ordered around his henchmen.  She didn't really know what to do in situations like this.  "Come on Raven just calm down and think! Look for something sharp to cut the ropes," she thought to herself.
She looked around her looking for anything sharp when something came down from above right next to her, startling her.  She looked at it closely, it was a batarang.  She looked up to see Red Robin in the rafters signaling her to keep quiet.  Not like she had a choice though, but she nodded her head.  She grabbed the batarang between her fingers and started to cut the ropes around her wrists.  She looked back up towards Two-Face and his men only to find Red Robin beating the crap out of them.  She stared in amazement as he fought, "He is pretty strong and cute... Wait? Did I just think that?! Get your head in the game Raven!"

She finally cut her wrists free and took the gag out of her mouth and quickly cut her ankles free.  She took the batarang with her as she hid behind a pillar watching the fight.  As Raven watched she could tell that Red Robin was getting tired, "I gotta help him out some how. But how I'm no good at fighting or anything! Ugh! Come on Raven you're smarter than this you can figure something out!"
Raven started to look around and noticed a net hanging from above holding lots of crates, then she looked down at the goons surrounding Red Robin which was pretty much all of them, and then at the batarang she was holding.  "If I can just time it right and actually not miss I can slice the the rope holding up the net and let the crates come crashing down on all the bad guys! I just have to make sure I warn Red Robin first," Raven thought working out the plan.  She took a deep breath before coming out from behind the pillar.
"Red Robin heads up!" she yelled and threw the batarang.  Red Robin looked over at her then up at the batarang that she threw and got the message.  He jumped out of the way just in time as the rope was cut and the crates came crashing down on all of Two-Face's goons.  "Yes!" Raven pumped her fists in the air as she jumped up in joy that she didn't miss.

Red Robin walked over to her with a smile on his face, "Nice shot, it took me awhile to actually get the hang of throwing those."  Raven looked at him then down at the ground and blushed, "Th-thanks."  "Sorry to ruin this heartfelt moment but I think I'll just take this gem, go, and blow up this building with you two in it!" Two-Face yelled.
Two-Face started to run but Red Robin threw a bola at him that wrapped around his legs making him trip, dropping the gem which was now mysteriously glowing?  Red Robin knocked Two-Face out and handcuffed him to a metal pole.  Then he walked over to Raven, "You okay?" he asked.  "Y-yeah I'm fine," Raven said shyly rubbing her arm.  Red Robin sighed with relief, "Good."
Then he turned to look at the glowing amethyst on the ground.  "Well that's weird?" he said walking over to it and Raven followed close behind him.  He got down on one knee and was about to grab it when it projected some type of energy knocking him back pretty hard.  Raven rushed next to him, "Are you okay?!" she asked worried.  He sat up rubbing his head, "Yeah, that thing packs quite a punch though."

Raven looked back over at the amethyst, it seemed to glow brighter when she looked at it.  It kept doing that like it was trying to talk to her.  Raven got up and slowly walked over to it.  Red Robin watched her not knowing fully what she was doing until she reached out to grab it.  "Wait don't-" but it was too late.  But when she touched it it didn't knock her back with a wave of energy, in fact it glowed so bright that Red Robin had to look away as it engulfed Raven in a giant ball of light.
When the light disappeared Red Robin looked back to see if Raven was alright only to find her unconscious on the ground and the gem was gone.  He rushed over to her and picked her up bridal style.  "I gotta get her to the hospital!" was all he thought as he ran out of the warehouse.
