"no one in here. I will just place him in the bed go to the ceremony in time and in the break I will come and integrate him. and remember I have to do this without being caught. No pressure." I mumbled to myself trying not to fall to the ground. I was carrying the panda boy on my back.
I sneaked some looks at the nurse office from outside the window. Once I made sure that no one was there I slowly opened the window jumped inside the room and closed it looking around in case someone saw me.
I carefully placed the boy on one of the beds and covered his body with a blanket. "don't go anywhere" I mumbled and closed the curtains of the bed. You know, I don't want the nurse to notice him. I smiled to myself satisfied but once I turned to leave my smile was erased by a smack on my head.
"you are late" that was granny. "I'm not, granny" I whinnied only to be smacked again by her. she yelled at me "I told you never call my granny, I'm still 28 years old". I held my head and glared at her. she smirked at me and said nodding to the bed where I left the boy "a friend of yours?"
"yeah, anyway could you please look after him I should go before the ceremony start, thanks in advance granny" I yelled the last part and ducked before one of the injection hit me. the needle hit the wall and left a hole in there. Glad that my relaxes are sharp.
I reached to my class to leave my bag on my desk. Luckily the corridors were empty and so was my class. I made sure that my uniform was clean and went to the assembly room; the place where the entrance ceremony will be held. Everyone's eye was on me but I shrugged it. 'class 1-c, class 1-c, there I found it' I thought. The student are forced to stand on lines and each line resemble a class. My class is 1-c and as you probably guessed it yes I'm a freshmen of middle school.
The ceremony was only 30 minutes and it was boring but I must say that the effort to made it was decent. I let out a sigh and head to class along with the others for the first period of the day. We will meet our home teacher and I really hope that he will be different. I entered the class and set on my seat.
The teacher entered and we all bowed to greet him. he was a man in his mid 30s. He had brown hair, teacher glasses and black piercing eyes that tell us he is the smart one. "good morning class, I'm glad to be your home teacher. My name is krosaki Tanuma and I happened to be your math teacher too". Everyone let out a groan and I guess that they hate math.
He chuckled at their reaction and said "I guess you love math huh? Anyhow today we will just get to know each other and maybe I will teach you some math basics". I let out a sigh and ignored everything. The good things is my seat was the last one at the corner of the class and it is perfect place as it is near the window. 'when this class finish I will go to the nurse office' I decided but then my hand caught a chalk thrown in the air right to my head.
I turned my face to it and then stared at my so called teacher. "ah my hand slipped, thank you … what was your name again?" he said with a fake apology smile. I threw the chalk back to him and he caught it; which was spuriously amazing. "Aoi [1]" I mumbled my name.
Everyone gasped once they knew my name and I sighed at that. I wasn't surprise at all, in fact I was expecting this kind of reaction. I turned my face back to the window and decided to ignore the rest of the class but my teacher had another idea. "try to solve this Aoi" he said pointing to the black board.
Odd, this is just odd. Most teachers after hearing my name would just ignore me or tremble in fear. Why? Because I used to be a gangster. But everything changed after I met granny. I will leave this story for another time. I headed to the black board examining the long complicated formula. Tanuma-sensei handed me the chalk and said "try to break the formula into small pieces it doesn't matter if you don't have any idea of how to solve it you just have to start from any point and everything will be alright"
His words were clamming my fear and just as he said I solved the problem without even realizing it. "See I just knew that you can do it" he said grinning. I blinked frequently at him and then returned to my seat. Maybe… just maybe this school is not that bad. I gave Tanuma-sensei my full attention and once the bell rang we all bowed to him and he left with a smile on his face.
As soon as Tanuma-sensei left the whole class started to gossip. ("I can't believe it, Aoi in our class", "seeing that blue hair I suspected that she is Aoi, but I really hope that she was just another girl who dyed her hair with blue", "what shall we do?", "just don't anger her and we will be fine", "don't talk to her, let us just ignore her", "I heard that she killed her mother when she was younger", "scary", "monster") although their voices were low I could hear them perfectly.
I knew it, even if my teacher was smiling and didn’t judge me, the students would be just like that. I slammed my hand on my desk and instantly the gossip were shut. I didn't glare or even look at them, I just shoved my hands to my bucket and walked outside the class. Wherever I go since I was a small girl the same gazes of hatred I will always receive.
I opened the door of my class to leave but my second period teacher was there. She was a woman, and judging from the book she was holding I suspect her to be my English teacher. She had black short black hair and big glasses that stopped me from noticing her eyes. But just like you knew she would probably have dark brown blackish eyes. She gulped and played with her hand shyly. I sighed and bowed to her leaving to the nurse office. "A-Aoi" I heard her mumble my name but I wasn't in a good mode to answer.
I walked to the nurse office to check if that panda boy was awake. His bed was empty though, I turned my gaze to granny and said "where is he?", "oh your friend, he left" she said looking at some papers which seems to be some medical report. "WHAT? I TOLD YOU TO KEEP AN EYE ON HIM" I yelled shoving my hand on the air.
She gave me an innocent smile which crept me more than her rape face. "Aoi, the second period has just started, why are you out of your class?" she walked closer to me and I let out a nerves laughter. She smacked my head and held my collar from the back dragging me to my class. She opened the door and threw me inside my class. Everyone was silent seeing that. "Akio-senpai[2]" my English teacher said, "oh hello Ayomi I found Aoi wondering around and I thought that I should bring her back to here"
My English teacher who I knew to be Ayomi smiled and thanked granny. I huffed and granny smiled to me cracking her hands "stay at class and I won't kill you". My eyes were emotionless and my face was blank but deep inside I was afraid of her. granny left the class closing the door and Ayomi-sensei walked to my side and ruffled my hair. I slapped her hand and walked back to my desk.
Her face showed that she was hurt but she gave me a warm smile and continued the class. I hate her, here eyes showed clear sympathy and I hate it. I ignore the rest of the classes and my head kept wondering about that red head boy. "where are you panda eyes?" I mumbled to myself but like always there is no answer.
