"Time discovers truth." - Lucius Annaeus Seneca

"Selene , won't you be my friend?" There was a child's laughter but I couldn't see her face. It was hidden behind her dark cloak. Something was lurking behind the shadow of her, listening to our conversation. She walks towards me and I see her mysterious smile. She hands me a familiar necklace. A red crescent, brighter than the blood in my veins. As I looked up, I saw the blood red moon. Behind me, there were noises emerging. " Oh dear, they are here. Let's meet again." And with that, she pushes me very softly but I still fall into the soft dead grass.

"Leah Morrison! How many times do you intend to sleep in my lesson?" Leah's chemistry teacher , Mr.Blake looks at her with disbelief. Leah opened her eyes to see a mustache on a red-faced teacher with old school glasses.

" Oops, I slept again didn't I?" She smiled a cheeky one as she lifts her hands onto her neck to feel the necklace, only this crescent was blue. She brushes her wavy scarlet hair away from her face, revealing a small scar on the left side of her forehead.

"Off to the toilet, wash your face and come back." Mr. Blake shakes his head wondering where he had gone wrong to be here in this horrible class. Leah stands up and leaves the class as Mr.Blake returns to his teaching.

At the back of the class, two boys look at her with humour as she left the classroom.

"She is the girl, isn't she?" the dark haired one looked at the other blonde one. "There's only two Leah in this whole school, Aelius and the other one looks like trash. At least this one is pretty."

"Oh well, I didn't even know she was in our class, James." Aelius Lakeway, the most popular kid in school. He has black hair and eyes that seem really deep. Every girl had have or will have a crush on him. He looked at his best friend and smiles.

"Oh no you're not thinking of that."James Hales, the popular guy's best friend also as good looking as Aelius himself with the typical blonde curly hair and black eyes looks back at Aelius. James has a humour that makes everyone laugh, that is when he is not serious.

"You know me friend. After all, Casey asked for this." Aelius Lakeway "likes" Casey Heather or so he says. "Casey's one request had to be breaking this poor girl's heart. Really? I think it's childish."James commented. "Since when were you soft-hearted? You love breaking girls. Something we're both good at." James shrugged at his response. "Oh come on, because it's Cas's request and I still can't believe you accepted it. I mean in the end, you're going to break her heart too. Why does she think you can't?" Aelius laughed at his best friend.

"The thing is my friend, that's how you date girls. Make sure they think you're true for them first and for people like us, don't ever let them find about our lovely lies."

In the girl's bathroom, Leah splashed some water on her face. "Really, Leah? Sleeping in chem? How many times has it been, and the same dream each time." she asked herself. She looked at her face and thought, " The colour was as pure as blood and my necklace is as blue as my eyes. And my name is not even Selene." She laughed at herself for even thinking about stupid things. "What am I thinking? Now I'm talking to myself." She can still remember vividly, the laughter of the unknown child. It sounded so familiar.

"Tap! Tap!" She heard a sound. "The door is open. "Leah shouted as she washes her hands. "Tap! Tap!" "I said the damn door is-" she stops when she realized where the sound was coming from.

The mirror.

Leah stared at the mirror in shock with her mouth opened. "You know it's rude to look at a someone like that." It was her reflection talking to her.

Big blue eyes, scarlett wavy hair and tall, except it wasn't following her, it was moving on its own.

"My reflection is talking to me. My reflection is talking to me. My reflect-" She was very confused and scared. "Ok that's enough, Now if you would be nice enough to press on the mirror for me to come out. That would be great." her reflection smiled as if this was absolutely normal.

Unfortunately, Leah was unable to help her reflection because the next thing she saw was darkness as she faints.

"Yeah...... and this is why I hate speaking to a daughter of Eve."
