I wake up with a start, my body is stuck to the mattress with my sweat holding me as if I was glued to the spot.  It was just a dream, no a nightmare, I shudder at the memory of the nightmare.  Why would I have a nightmare about vampires?  Because you are different and you always will be, remember?  There goes my dumb self-conscience acting up again.  Sometimes, I just wish she would shut up.  There was also someone I had fallen for.  I wonder who it could have been.  I hope he’s hot.  Probably not.

“Lexi get up before you miss your bus!” Mom yells from downstairs.

To get ready I put on a simple retro Star Wars t-shirt, some dark blue skinny jeans, and some galaxy toms.  Alright that’s good, now about my hair.  I take the teeniest glance in the mirror.  Oh man, bed head. Uhgg.  I put a simple black headband on.  I straighten my hair; I hate how it is curly, and grab my book bag.  I race down the steps trying not to miss the bus. I make it out but apparently I just missed my bus. Dang it!  Guess I have to walk, three miles.  As soon as I get to school I rush to get to my first class without being tardy, luckily I make it.
