"It's all your fault Dad!" Jake yelled at me. I didn't respond. I knew it was all my fault as well. I stared at my wife while she lay on the hospital bed sleeping peacefully. My head starts to ache as I recall the fight that led her here in the first place the screaming, the crying which led to her driving off and getting into an accident. It pained me to think I caused my own wife to lose her memory even my own son knew I caused this. I stare at (Y/N) as her eyes slowly flutter open eying me carefully. I felt my heart explode as I recall what the doctor had told me earlier, "She may not have a chance of regaining her memory."

"Zayn?" I jumped at the sound of (Y/N) calling my name. I looked at her smiling widely as I felt my whole body light up with hope. Did she remember me?

"You're Zayn Malik aren't you?" (Y/N) asked me. I felt my heart shatter once more as I felt the unsureness in her voice. "From One Direction? What are you doing in my room and who is he?" She asked pointing at Jake.

I took a deep breath before answering trying not to scare her, "(Y/N) I'm your husband & this is your son Jake."

I saw (Y/N)'s eyes widen as she looked at me & Jake. "Are you sure?"

I finally broke down into tears unable to hold myself together anymore my body starts shaking as I continue to cry until I soft hand starts rubbing my back calming me down. "Please don't cry Boo." (Y/N) whispered. My eyes widened in shock as I stared at (Y/N) in shock.

"Did you just call him Boo? That's what you used to call Dad!" Jake yelled.

"Um yea I did. I don't know why but it just feels right you know? Calling him Boo." (Y/N) mumbled.

I grabbed (Y/N) and hugged her tightly as I continued to cry into her chest. "You remember don't you babe?" I asked softly

"I'm starting to remember some things, but not everything." (Y/N) muttered.

I continued to hug my wife tight as words started to ring inside my head, there was hope.
