After watching episode 100 of MCD season 2 a while ago it revealed a lot about Irene's past, so here's a theory of what I think is going to happen in season 3.

Theory #4) (beginning explanation) 6 main MCD characters either are them, or a descendant of 1 of the divine warriors. I personally like to think that they are the divine warrior mentioned seeing to it that they are reincarnated. They just as well lost their memories of being that warrior.
~ Irene the Matron- Aphmau is Irene. If you watched MCD ep. 100 season 2 you would know this. Therefore this relation does not need an explanation.
~ Enki the Keeper- Travis is Enki. Travis is "the keeper" of his book that his mother?/father? Gave him. (Sorry don't remember which one gave it to him. Feel free to correct me on that) Enki having the name "the keeper" just seems to fit pretty well. Also his face character looks a lot like Travis.
~ Esmund the Protector- Garroth is Esmund. Garroth was Aphmau's first guard in Phoenix Drop aside from Zenix. As a guard it is your duty to protect your Lord. Aph was Garroth's lord, so he was "the Protector" of her. Much like in Esmunds  name "the Protector". This would also explain the love triangle between Aph, Lawrence, and Garroth. Again his face character looks a lot like Garroth.
~ Menphia the Fury- Katelyn is a decendant of Menphia. When Katelyn was apart of the Jury of nine she was given the name "Katelyn the Fire Fist". Menphia's name is "the Fury". Fire? Fury? Sounds awfully alike to me.
~ Kul'zak the Wanderer- Kul'zak is Aaron. (Yes I know that Aaron is a descendant of Chad the Destroyer it just seems more fitting to this theory that he is Kul'zak.) After losing his family in Falcon Claw Aaron has been wandering around for a place to call home. Eventually he meets Aph and stays with her, but when Garroth is trapped in the Irene Dimension. Aaron wondered if saving Garroth would make Aph happier. This leaves his mind wandering around about what to do. Kul'zak's name is "the Wanderer" much like Aaron doing a lot of wandering.
~ Chad the Destroyer- Lawrence is a descendant of Chad. He was adopted by Hayden after being given up by Chad, or another descendant that is the father of Aaron. Making Lawrence and Aaron brothers. In Hyria's explanation she said that Irene was able to bring Chad back once he turned "evil". Aphmau brought back Lawrence with a kiss after he stated attacking everyone at the wedding when she was a meif'wa. Lawrence being a descendant would help explain the love triangle between Lawrence, Aph, and Garroth. Lawrence is a shadow knight much like Chad at the end of season 2 you see him walking into the Nether portal to get someone. My guess he is getting his father/grandpa/great-grandpa? Chad Out of the nether.

Theory #4 extended) The "calling" is actually Chad (One of the divine warriors) calling his army to the Netherworld. Since he lost his love for Irene he has sparked a new hatred for her. Lawrence is one of the last people he needs to break out of the Nether. Once he is free he will use his army to fight against Lady Irene. Lawrence will have joined the Shadow Knights side and become the new Shadow Lord.
With this new threat Aphmau, Garroth, Katelyn, and Travis (Maybe Aaron if Aph brings him back) will have to create a new Divine Warriors team to defeat the evil forces. It will come down to Aphmau having to fight Lawrence alone in the Irene Dimension. Aph will either kill him, or banish him into the netherworld thus forth ending season 3.
