I Get Away, But They Don't Let Me Stay

A beautful friendship

Kirsten's POV-
I was just walking in my house when I hear a huge bang come from the kitchen. As I stated to walk in I heard my mother screaming bloody murder. My father was standing over her with a pan in his hand. Right when I was about to tell him stop he spun around and hit me in the head with it. All the sudden everything disappeared. That's when I hear this voice talking to me.
"Kirsten wake up, wake up wake up!"
I looked around and no one was there to be found.
"Hello! Who's there?" I screamed warily.
Then the mystery voice spoke up.
"Oh, good your awake!"
I still couldn't see where this voice was coming from.
"Who are you? Where am I? How did I get here? I asked the mystery voice."
"Oh, sorry I didn't properly introduced myself." She said giggling.
I just gave her a meek smile not knowing if she could see me.
"I'm Kirst, your subconscious I guess you can say."
"Wait your in my head, am I going crazy"
"No well, not really."
"Where am I?"
"You are in a world that is completely opposite from your reality nice, sweet, and fun."
All the sudden this .magical looking place appeared like something you would see in a movie. I was lost for words. Then Kirst spoke again.
"So, do you like it?" Then I realized the shadow of a girl right next to me. I'm assuming it was Kirst I guess in this magical world she can come out in her true form.
"Ummmm yes I said smiling."
"Great!" she said happier then could be.
"So you like my imaginary friend but you can talk back?" I ask.
"Yeah exactly like that"
"How long have you been around?"
"All your life, I've just been in the shadows... literally." "I'm your shadow that can talk."
"Why am I here?"
"This place is for you to get away from that horrible reality you live in." she said with discussed and hate in her voice.
"So I can just come here when ever I want?"
"Not quite, I bring you here when I think you've had enough." "Then I send you back when everything is okay." She said happily.
"So can you talk to me when I'm in reality?"
"Yes of course!"
"I'm going to start I just needed something bad enough to happen so I was able to get you here and tell you everything you needed to know about me and this place." "But right now you need to get back to the hospital because they are trying to get you out of a coma." "Don't worry everything will be okay!"
"Coma?"
All the sudden I was in a hospital bed with a doctor standing over me saying "she's awake!"
And my terrible parents no where to be found.
"I told you it would be okay."
I smiled to myself thinking this is going to be the start to a great friendship.
