Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
I rebooted and woke up in a tiny tent-like house. The boy was working on something off to my side. For the first time, my hair was down. It was usually in a ponytail of some sort. I sat up and looked over at him. He was working intently. I decided to stay silent and watched him. We stayed like this for a moment. He finally turned around and blushed to find me staring at him. We looked at each other, blushing for an uncomfortable amount of time. Finally he got up and said, "oh right, lemme get you your mom's memory chip." He rushed out. I laid my head down and thought. What was that smell? I thought I'd ask him when he got back. That's when I realized. After all this time, I never got his name! I giggled aloud a bit as he came back. He looked at me and asked,"what's so funny?" I smiled and just said,"oh nothing!" He looked at me with a puzzled look on his face, but he shrugged it off. I ate bread and drank the tea he offered me and drifted into sleep once more. I could hear the soft melody my mother used to play for my "father" it played over again twice before I awoke.
When I woke up, it was to the sound of an explosion. I jolted up and scanned my surroundings. There was war all around. Oil and human blood enter twined with each other. It was horrid. I cried and covered my face. I felt a hand on my shoulder and looked up. It was a beautiful robot woman. She looked a lot like me, but older. Around 47 human years. She smiled and said softly, "it's ok shhh it's alright now, don't cry..." She picked me up and I realized I was five in human years. She put her hand over my neck and head to protect me, and ran to the other side of the field. There were lots of explosions all around, but she was determined. She jutted around everything and got across without getting scathed. She set me down and tried to leave. I grabbed her arm and said "please don't leave me!" But nothing came out. She smiled and knelt down to my level. She said, "you'll have to keep that thought till you grow up, young robot." She smiled before running off. I stood in the dust, watching her leave. The whole world just disappeared as I watched her. Then I fainted.
