Isaiah's POV:

"Hey baby girl, how are you?" I ask my precious angel of a daughter.

"I'm good, guess what Daddy!" She exclaims, and I laugh.

                "What's that, precious?" I ask.

Hearing a door slam, I jump a little bit, and turn around to stare at the empty bed that I just sat on with Kristen.

"Hey, Baby Girl, can I talk to you a little bit later? I've got to do something real quick." I rush out.

"Yeah, Daddy, I love you!" She yells in to the babysitter's phone.

"I love you too, Princess." I hang up.

And run out of my door, and down the hallway to the stairs.

I see Kristen's hair flash at the bottom of the staircase, heading to the lobby, and skip as many steps as I can to catch up. But I don't seem to catch up in time. When I reach the lobby, she's already gone. I run outside, because I instinctually know that that's where she went.

I don't see her. At all.

What am I supposed to do?

Kristen's POV:

I keep hearing weird sounds. The birds keep cawing, the branches keep snapping, and I keep hearing scary growling noises.

I'm going to die out here.

Thinking back to how I got myself in to this position, I realize that I had no legitimate reason to run. I had no reason to be jealous. Isaiah is my boss. He's not by boyfriend, he's my boss.

He's my boss. I think, an epiphany quickly approaching. He's my boss, and he needs to act like he's my boss. It's not fair to me, him, or whoever was on the phone that meant so much to him.

Looking around, I feel hopeless. I know I didn't bring my cell phone, because I left it in my Rangers backpack back in his room.

But I feel in my pocket anyways.

                Nothing.

No phone. No people. No way back.

                Nothing...

                Isaiah's POV:

Running out of the hotel lobby, and into the street, I see one of Kristen's heels in the street on the other side, almost like she tripped stepping up, and left it there in her hurry.

I immediately run over there, and pick it up. Looking around for any other sign of her. Looking on the ground, looking at the people's faces, looking at anything. Anything that could lead me to the girl that ran away from me.

After a few minutes of just mindlessly turning in circles, looking for any clues of where she went, I see another shoe. It's hidden, and wedged in between a car tire, and a curb again.

So she's being so careless that she isn't even looking where she's going. She's not paying any attention to her surroundings. I think, shaking my head at her carelessness. Where would a completely reckless, freaking out, clumsy girl run to in a time of panic? I would go...the easiest route. The easiest way to get alone. Looking to the left, I see a public park, with only two families sitting under the trees closest to the street, and nobody else. There.

Grabbing the other shoes, I run to the trees, and look around desperately. Where could she have gone? Turning to the trees, where they start to run closer together. The density of the trees making the air gloomier, and the atmosphere darker. There. I run. I run deeper into the forest, weaving between the close packed trees, my eyes scanning everything, my head turning back and forth quickly.

Finally, I see some broken twigs, and run there. Looking on the ground, I can see a small human footprint headed north, and walk that way, following the random footprints that seem to be heading in circles. Realizing that the footprints are starting to head back to town in a southern direction.

Thanking God for whatever he did to make her start heading back to town, I pray that she did make it back to where the people are.

Paying more attention to the ground, and the broken twigs littering the ground, I see a shadow on the ground.

                Oh God...Oh God, please no.
