One minute after the mistake,
Darkness enveloped the world surrounding her.One minute after the mistake,
As golden, evening light greeted her eyes, she pieced it together. One minute after the mistake,
Traces of smoke invaded her lungs. One minute after the mistake,
Her breath caught at a glance to her left, fracturing the silence that hung. One minute after the mistake,
The unstable woman she trusted had retreated, only to stare back at her through fractured glassOne minute after the mistake,
The woman had fled from the world, replacing herself with a hazy maskOne minute after the mistake,
She stumbled from the metallic monster,One minute after the mistake,
Their fates were sealed thereafter,One minute after the mistake,
Before the girl could drown in bane,Another minute passed,
She took her mother's hand, and they traveled back the way they came.
