Happily in Love

Chapter 3: Movie Time

Soon later after 4:00 p.m., Richard and Jack returned back home, to find Lily taking a nap on the couch. "Mummy's asleep" Jack whispered to his father "well, we must be very quiet or else we'll wake mummy up" Richard whispered. "I'm ....up" Lily said through a yawn. Jack went to sit down on the couch next to her and kissed her cheek "how was your play date with daddy?" she asked Jack. "It was really awesome! We even met uncle Kit!" He said "uncle Kit?" Lily said and turned around to look at Richard. Richard just smiled and shrugged "well, I'm happy that you and your father had a wonderful time" she said happily. Richard went and sat down with them on the couch as Jack thought of something. "Can we watch a movie together?" He asked his parents. "Sure pal which one?" Richard asked. "Hmm.." Jack thought for a moment "the one with the glass slippers!" He said excitedly. Lily smiled "you want to see Cinderella?" She asked, "yes mummy!" He said jumping up and down on the couch. "Very well then, Cinderella it is!" Richard said.

Soon enough, they got to the part where Cinderella meets the Prince at the ball. "Is this when you meet daddy mummy?" Jack asked curiously as he watched the TV screen. "Yes, isn't it magical?" Lily said. Jack nodded in agreement. A few more minutes into the movie, Jack fell asleep in Lily's lap, as she brushed her fingers through his dark hair, "someone's asleep" she whispered to Richard. "I think it's time to call it a night" he said as he turned off the TV with the remote. Lily and Richard took Jack to his bedroom and tucked him in bed and kissed him goodnight. "I think we should head to sleep too, I'm exhausted with all that ice skating" Richard said grabbing onto her hand. "Shall we?" He asked her. Lily smiled and nodded, and they both walked down to their room and soon got in bed.
