"Camilla"

*poke*

"Camilla"

*poke*, Oh god who knew vampires were so annoying. I was trying so hard to ignore him but he doesn't know how to gently poke people! I was sleeping the opposite directions from him so he couldn't see I was awake.

"Camill-"

"Leon if you poke me one more time I'm cutting your finger off with the knife I have under my pillow. What do you want?" I took a peek at the alarm clock, "It's 9 am you better have a good reason for waking me u-" I sat up and turned to look at him but was faced with a pair of innocent green eyes.

"You didn't tell me you had a cat", he held the cat in his hands outstretched towards me as if it was a baby that he didn't feel like carrying. I grabbed her from him and placed her on my lap,

"No she's not mine, her names Jinx she's my neighbor's cat. She sneaks in here once or twice a month, she comes in through the window. I don't mind her she's actually good company sometimes. I can take her back home if you don't like cats." I looked at him but he was looking at the cat strangely.

"No I like cats, it's just she has a scent on her that is familiar I just can't place it". I looked down at Jinx who was snuggled into my lap, "Who knows she must've wondered into tons of people's houses, my neighbor doesn't really keep much track of her. She's more my cat than she is his". I checked my phone to see I had no messages, which means we didn't have a mission today.

"You shouldn't leave your window open like that" Leon walked over to my window and shut it.

"Why? It's not like we have crime in our city, everybody's too worried about vampires invading and killing everyone".

"You never know Camilla" Leon said and walked out of my room. What is that suppose to mean and why is he so worried about me? I lifted Jinx off my lap and set her down on my bed, she immediately made herself comfortable and curled up in my blanket. I got up and went to the bathroom to wash up. When I went downstairs I found Leon sitting on the couch reading a book, "What are you reading?" I said as I walked past him towards the kitchen.

He got up and followed me but kept his eyes on the pages he was reading. "Romeo and Juliet", I opened the fridge and took out ingredients for an omelette.

"Do you like it so far?" I asked as I focused on the tomato I was chopping up.

"I feel like they could've handled this differently. I mean if they just told their parents they loved each other and stood by it maybe Mercutio wouldn't have died, Romeo wouldn't have killed Tybalt and got exiled. Juliet wouldn't have had to faked her death and maybe Romeo wouldn't have gotten the wrong message thinking she really was dead thus committing suicide just to be with her. Then she wakes up and finds him dead and she stabs herself, and maybe the feud would've ended. Anyways my point is this story is completely ridiculous but on the other hand it amazes me what great lengths humans go to for love" I looked up and saw that he had put the book down.

"Oh you already finished it?"

"Yes, I've been reading it since last night"

"Who is your favorite character?" I looked up at him to see him looking down at the book, I guess he was thinking.

"Mercutio, he reminds me of my friend Jasper"

"You had friends?" My eyes widened when I realized what I just said. "Shit I didn't mean to say that it just slipped out", he just raised an eyebrow at me and smirked,

"I know what you meant Camilla. I seem like I enjoy solitude, and I suppose that was true until the year 1809. I was 12 years old when I met Jasper, I was training in the woods when I smelled blood. I followed the scent until I found a group of guys beating up this scrawny blonde boy. I wasn't going to intervene but something told me I should or else he was going to die. I was trying to put it in my head that I didn't care and I should leave the humans to their business but as I heard the blonde boy coughing up his own blood as the grown men kicked and punched him, I had enough and jumped in. That was probably the most important decisions I ever made in my life".
