Haruhi's Secret Twin

第1章 Dai 1-shō

*Sora's POV*
"Did you hear about the ball that the Host club is throwing?" I over heard a conversation between a group of girls in class. "A ball you say? Oh my! I want to dance with Tamaki! He's so dreamy!" she said with her eyes closed a big smile and her hands on her face. "Or how about Hikaru and Kaoru? those twins are just simply amazing!" another girl fantasized. "I don't know about you guys but I absolutely adore Haruhi! Haruhi is my favorite! So handsome and charming!" another girl said. Haruhi?! But it can't be my twin, they're talking about boys. "Excuse me. But I couldn't help but over hear you talking about the Host Club. I'm new here could you ladies please tell me what it is?" I asked. "Oh, the Host Club is the school's hottest guys and they're all so polite they make days for girls to sit and talk with them and have tea. It's absolutely darling!" A girl with long blonde hair and in the girls uniform said fantasizing some more. It reminded me of my best friend in America, Kathy. She got me into anime and cosplay. So me, her and our good friend Zayne always did cosplay together. Zayne mostly just took the pictures. "Where can I find them?" I asked. "Music Room #3 why are you asking?" I heard two voices behind me that sounded identical almost. The girls I was talking to immediately went more fan girl status with heart eyes. "Hi Hikaru and Kaoru!" the girls said in unison. "Hi ladies. Could you let us talk to your friend for just a second?" they said at the same time and waved with a smile. "No problem! He's all yours!" the girls said. I guess I look and sound like a guy. Hmm well my hair is cut and I don't really like girl clothes so that must explain it. "Uh thank you ladies." I said as I grabbed my bag and walked with the twins known as Hikaru and Kaoru as the bell rang. "So you didn't answer our question." one of them asked... I think it was Kaoru, I couldn't really tell them apart. "Yeah so why did you want to know about the host club?" the other one asked. "Oh, um I'm new so I was wondering about some clubs I could join ya know?" I lied and laughed. "Oh! Then come with us! We're headed there right now!" They said in unison....again and then dragged me away really fast. They burst through the doors and by the time we got there I could barely stand. I finally gained my balance back. There were a bunch of guys. A blonde was sitting in a fancy chair while the rest stood there surrounding him. There was a little kid with an intimidating guy behind him a guy with glasses and black hair, and a guy with brown eyes and brown hair. I immediately recognized him as my twin sister. "HARUHI! IS IT YOU? IT IS YOU! ISN'T IT!" I leaped forward and tackled her. "Ahhh! Yeah I am Haruhi! Who are you?" She barely managed to say. I quit hugging her and laughing. I sat up "You...don't...remember...me?" I asked with tears forming in my eyes. "Wait! No, please don't cry. Just tell me who you are." she said. I stood up off of her. "I can't believe you don't remember your own twin. I recognized you right away." I said sadly. "TWIN???!!!" All the guys burst out. "Sora? I thought you left with grandma." She stood up. "And for a moment I thought you forgot all about me." I cheered up as I hugged her. "Why are you here?" she pulled away. "Aren't you happy to see me?" I asked. "Well yeah, but we haven't seen each other since mom died. Did grandma let you come back?" she asked. I grinned "Nope. I got a job, got enough money for a plane ticket and snuck out the house and I came searching all over Japan for you and dad." I giggled. "YOU WHAT?!" She yelled as I just kept laughing. "It's no big deal. I did what I had to do to see you again. I needed to see you. I felt like a part of me was missing when I was in America." I said looking down. "I have a feeling you don't want me here. If that's the case I'll go back to America." I told her turning around to walk out the door putting on a dramatic act. "NO DON'T GO! WHY DO YOU ALWAYS HAVE TO BE SO DRAMATIC! YOU HAVEN'T CHANGED ONE BIT!" She yelled at me grabbing my wrist and turned me around. "Haruhi, I-" "Just shut up you're coming home with me later. But right now I have to get ready for my visitors." She said as she let go of my wrist. "Visitors?" I asked. "It's for the host club and I have to pay off a 800 million yen vase I broke." she informed me. "Oh, I'll help it sounds like fun." "I'm not sure if Tamaki will let you." she told me. All of a sudden a random round stage appeared out of nowhere coming out of the ground "Sure he will! this will attract them big time! Two long lost brothers brought back together!" A girl said from on top of the stage. "where did she come from?" I freaked out and hid behind Haruhi. "Renge has a point Tamaki, we will get more visitors." The boy with the glasses said. "But you guys are forgetting." One of the twins said "There are already a pair of twins in this club that the girls love." the other twin finished. Wow that's so weird how they do that. "But you're not long lost, and Haruhi and Sora don't have to have the forbidden love like you two do." the girl known as Renge said again. "It sounds like a good idea to me." the guy with the glasses said. "It sounds like an AMAZING IDEA! Sora I am pleased to tell you that I am Suoh Tamaki the founder of this club and Kyoya over there is also the founder of the Host Club." Tamaki pointed at the guy in the glasses. "Wait, you told us you were looking into clubs because you're new." One of the twins said. "Oh, hehe I was also looking for Haruhi hehe." I said. "Well then you don't have to help her with her debt." the other twin said. "You may join but Haruhi has to pay this debt on her own." Tamaki said pointing his index finger up. "Oh, ok." I replied. "YAY A NEW MEMBER! HAHAHA DO YOU LIKE CAKE SO-CHAN? MY NAME IS MITSUKUNI HANINOZUKA BUT YOU CAN JUST CALL ME HONEY!" The little kid yelled out while leaping onto me and wrapping his arms around my neck. "uh yeah I do like cake." I replied a bit overwhelmed, as his eyes lit up like a million Christmas trees. "This is Usa-chan" Honey informed me as he held up a pink bunny he even laughed like a little kid. "Don't be fooled by his looks he's seventeen and a 3rd year student and Mitsukuni is also my cousin. I am Takashi Morinozuka. You may call me Mori if you would like." he informed me. "Oh nice to meet you all." I said while bowing in respect as they bowed back. "So you're Haruhi's twin? We didn't know she had a twin." Tamaki said. "Uh, yeah I am her twin." I replied. "So let me get this straight, you are a guy right?" he asked rather close to my face and squinting his eyes. "No, I'm a girl, and I'm not wearing girl clothes." I flatly told him. "Here put this on. The guests will be here in about ten minutes." Kyoya said as he handed me a boys uniform for the school. "Where am I suppose to change?" I asked. "Here I'll show you." Haruhi said. I followed her through a door. "So Kyoya told me that it would be best if I introduced you to our guests and we should work together for at least the first few times." Haruhi told me as I entered a dressing room. "And you have to keep it a secret that you're a girl and that I'm a girl to. Although I could really care less." she laughed. "Ok." I replied. "Huh? what's wrong Sora?" Haruhi asked. "Oh, nothing just trying to figure this tie out." I said trying fix it but only messing it up more. "Here I'll help you." she replied and opened the door. She helped fix my tie and said. "Come on, the guests are probably already here." I nodded and laughed. I held her hand with our fingers entwined together. She looked at me confused. "What are you doing?" she asked. "I'm nervous." "Its going to be ok, just mind your manners and act like a gentleman." she told me. I nodded as I let go of her hand and opened the door. "there were suddenly tables everywhere and seats and a couple of couches with a coffee table. And there were girls everywhere too. Talking to the host club members. "Haruhi, you're at that table with those ladies." Kyoya told her. "And you are going to go with Haruhi." He told me. I nodded following Haruhi to the table. "Hello Haruhi! Who is that with you?" A girl with light brown hair and green eyes asked. "Hi girls, have I ever told you that I have a twin?" Haruhi asked with a smile as she sat down in a chair and motioned me to sit in the chair beside her. I sat down. "No you haven't. Wow you two do look a lot like each other!" the brown haired girl said. "What's your name?" a blonde asked. "Oh me? I'm Sora." I answered. "so why did you join the Host Club?" a red head asked. "I joined because I heard my twin was in this club. You see, Haruhi and I were separated when our mother died, our grandmother took me to America with her and I have been saving up my money all my life in America to come back to Japan to be with Haruhi again. Grandmother didn't give me permission so I snuck out and bought a plane ticket to come to Japan. I searched all over for my twin and now I feel completed again." I smiled and let out a soft laugh. "Awe that's so amazing of you! To come all the way from America to find you're twin!" The brown haired girl said. "How long did it take you to find him?" the blonde asked eagerly. "Hmm about 3 months maybe?" I said thinking about it. "Yeah 3 months tomorrow would be 4 months." I smiled. The three girls squealed and talked about how brave and sweet I was. "It was nothing. Really ladies." I told them rubbing the back of my neck. "How can you say that? You came all the way from America to find me and by yourself?" Haruhi asked. "Huh? Well yeah It was my first time alone going across the planet and I did get lost a lot. But it was all worth it to see you Haruhi. And now I get a bonus of seeing these beautiful women too." I said while winking at them only to see them fawn over me like I was a celebrity. Soon the whole thing was over and I sat on the couch with Hikaru on my right side and Kaoru on my left. Yeah, I can tell them apart now. Hikaru's hair is parted to the right and Kaoru's hair is parted to the left. And Kaoru's voice is softer than Hikaru's voice. "Wow you're a natural." Hikaru told me. "It looks like it runs in the family." Kaoru finished. "Sure?" I replied and looked down at my tea. "Why the sudden long face?" Tamaki asked "Huh? Oh, I was just thinking about how my dad is going to react when he sees me. I wonder if he's going to be mad." I told them. "Why would dad be upset to see you? He would be really happy to see you." Haruhi assured me. "Ya really think so?" I asked. "Of course he would. What father wouldn't be after all these years of not seeing his other daughter?" "You're right Haruhi!" I said excitedly. "I don't know why I was so nervous." I laughed.
