第2章 Dai 2-shō

"Then Kathy told the most terrible lie ever to her mom saying that we were chasing a Hobbit who ran into that party and while we were looking for the Hobbit some guys handed us a beer and we thought it was water. Kathy is the most ditsy girl I have ever met!" I laughed with the guys and Haruhi. "Your American friends are so funny! Tell another story Sora Chan!" Honey Senpai said. "Well there was this other time where Zayne was trying to-" Haruhi cut me off. "Hey Sora we're here." I looked at the apartments that she lived in and I suddenly got nervous again. "Hey don't worry Sora, we'll all go with you." the guys said stepping out of the limo. They gave me and Haruhi a ride and let me get my stuff from the Hotel I was staying at and tried paying but Tamaki wouldn't let me after fighting with him for what it seemed like forever. "You guys don't have to, I mean I really appreciate it but..." I looked down. "Hey we're your friends don't worry about it." the Hitachiin twins assured me simultaneously. "But you barely know me." I said looking up at them. "Any twin of Haruhi is a friend of ours!" Tamaki exclaimed with his arm extended out. I smiled and tried to grab all eight of my bags but the guys took them from me being the gentlemen they are. I grabbed my sparkly stuffed dog named Sparkles, who has a pink ribbon, is a boy dog, and gay. "Oh Sora Chan I like your stuffed dog." Honey said. "Thanks Honey Senpai  his name is Sparkles and he's gay." I smiled as Haruhi sighed and said "Only you would have a gay stuffed dog." I giggled at her comment. When we stopped at a door I froze suddenly nervous again. "Hey come on, don't be nervous ok." Haruhi said. "Like I want to be nervous." I replied as she opened the door. "Dad, I'm home." Haruhi called out as we both stepped into the house at the same time. "Oh Haruhi! How was school?" I heard a voice and seen my dad in a dress like last time I seen him. I walked into the living room with Haruhi by my side and the guys behind us. "Haruhi I- S-Sora? What are you doing here darling? Where is your grandmother?" Dad asked shocked. "In America... She doesn't know I'm here, I ran away." I told him "Oh Sora you have to go back. I have to call your grandmother." he said turning to the phone. "What no! Aren't you happy to see your other daughter again! I don't want to live with her anymore! Please Dad don't!" I yelled terrified as tears escaped my eyes. "Of course I'm happy to see you! I just don't have legal custody of you and I know how your grandmother will make up a story to have me thrown in jail. She has never liked me." he told me. "I'll tell everyone the truth then! I don't like living with her or her new husband." I told him. "New husband?" Haruhi and Dad asked at the same time. "Yeah, he yells a lot and he absolutely hates me." I cried. "Oh Sora, please don't cry we'll figure this out ok? Just no more crying." Dad said gently as he hugged me close. "Oh how I've missed you so." He said. "I missed you too Dad." I told him as I silently cried into his shoulder. I didn't tell Dad the whole truth about Jack, my grandma's new husband. Yes he did hate me, yes he does yell A LOT, but I still have bruises and I can't raise my right arm all the way up because he beat me. He threw me into a window and the glass was so deep in my shoulder, when I landed on the concrete floor it damaged my shoulder more. Dad just shushed me and told me that it was ok now. "I love you so much Dad!" I cried even more soaking his shirt with tears, and forgetting that everyone else was there. "I love you too." he told me and hugged me tighter. "Why don't you go get freshened up in the bathroom then we'll have these boys put your stuff in Haruhi's room ok?" he said after awhile. I nodded and immediately felt embarrassed. I wiped my tears away as Haruhi led me into the bathroom and closed the door behind us. "Is it really that bad living with grandma?" Haruhi asked. "I don't really want to talk about it right now. And to be honest I forgot that everybody was there when I was crying and now I feel embarrassed." I told her splashing my face with water. "It's ok, you've had a rough four months looking for me and all. And we'll get this all straightened out. And maybe you can live with us, stay at Ouran,  and still be a host." Haruhi said trying to cheer me up. "Thanks Haruhi, I'm really glad I came." I smiled at her after I dried my face with a towel. "Hey So-Chan, Haru Chan... Are you two ok?" I heard Honey Senpai say after knocking. I opened the door "Yeah we're fine Honey Senpai." I told him with a generous smile. "Well look who it is! Are my two little girls feeling better?" Dad asked in a baby voice while crushing us in a hug. "Ahh Dad! We're fine!" Haruhi managed to breath out as he let us go. I winced at the bruises I still had and my hurt shoulder. "Are you ok?" Haruhi asked "Yeah I'm great now that I'm home." I smiled wide. "Hey I have an idea! Take me to the store and I'll make everyone an American meal!" I exclaimed. "That sounds awesome!" Hikaru and Kaoru chimed in. We all left for the store as everyone watched me carefully well except Haruhi and Dad. When we got back I boiled the water and started cutting and cooking the chicken. "What are you making?" Haruhi asked. "Chicken Alfredo, you'll love it!" I grinned. When everything was done (including the home made garlic bread) I set it on the table as the guys drooled over the food and dug in with many compliments. "Hey guys I made some Peach cobbler too!" I said after everyone was done with dinner. I brought it out and everyone's mouth was watering, "That looks amazing Sora Chan!" Honey said as I cut everyone a slice. Once everyone was done eating they all went home and Haruhi helped me get settled in, we were sharing a room. Dad came in to tell us good night and reassured us that we will all get everything right again.
