"Come back here, Dinah!"
Alice yelled, running after Dinah, her cat. The soft blades of wheat in the field tickled her knees as she ran. The tiny little thing (Dinah) was running after a peculiar white rabbit that appeared out of nowhere.
Back in the tree, now very far away from Alice, her sister, Jane, was yelling for her to come back. Alice looked at her but she just kept on chasing after Dinah. "Oh Dinah, would you just stop chasing after him?" She pleaded her orange cat. But the stubborn little thing wouldn't listen.
The rabbit hopped inside the forest in the edge of the field and Dinah followed suit. Alice stopped for a while, leaning on a tree, slightly hyperventilating. She looked inside the dark forest and watched Dinah run farther away from her. She sighed.
Alice continued and kept on running after her cat. Dinah turned left and Alice followed. She stopped running and looked skeptically at Dinah who stopped in front of a hole. But where is the rabbit?
She sighed and ignored the question. She picked up Dinah. At five months old, you sure are a trouble maker, Alice thought. She looked at the hole in front of her. "Is that hole where the white rabbit went?" Alice asked Dinah. Dinah "meowed" as if to say yes.
Alice put Dinah down. She ran to the hole, peeking through it. "Dinah! Please be careful, you might fall!" Alice said. Dinah went further down the hole, Alice picked her up by her tail before she could fall inside.
"Oh Dinah, you troublemaker." Alice looked inside the hole, out of curiosity, thinking that she saw something move. She shook her head. What nonsense, she thought. "We should head back, Jane must be-" Alice tripped on a vine and lost hold of Dinah who landed on the ground while Alice fell inside the hole.
The sight of Dinah started fading away and Alice closed her eyes as she fell for what seemed like an eternity of darkness.
