She shined beautifully. Her silver aura making her glow, but it only lasted for so long. She and her friends would leave and it would become his turn. A pattern that will continue till the end of time.
When she leafy he would rise up, moving slowly but as fast as possible. He would finally go down inhaling his last breath just to watch her.
Watch her shine brightly in the sky.
Her friends littered the sky making her shine even brighter. They would never shine as bright as her though.
The pattern would change a bit sometimes. He would be able to leave quicker. Losing his breath faster than a human's life. It didn't matter because she would stay in the sky longer.
Then it would switch around. She didn't leave as fast as him. She was stubborn he could tell. It was when he became increasingly hot that he could stay longer. During those days when it was her turn she tried to stay longer.
It was becoming increasingly obvious now. He could never be by her side. It had happened once. Every once in a while they would meet. Short meetings that meant more than anything to him.
They were perfect.
That was the thing. Nothing could stay perfect forever.
It took a while. Just the repeated cycle of taking turns. Until he noticed that he wasn't losing his breath anymore. He wouldn't tire as he usually did when they switched. He looked up to see if she was in her usual spot.
Then, there was nothing there, but the twinkling of her friends. The sky that she was always stubbornly staying in was blank and hollow. Her friends' shine dull compared to her silvery aura.
He would never die again.
Not for his beloved, silver moon. Not anymore.
It's short but I guess.
