I wake up to the morning sun beaming on my face thru the window.
I look over to my left to my alarm clock and notice the time is 12:30 pm , oh how I love summer mornings.
As I'm laying there staring at my ceiling I feel my phone buzz. I look at it and see its a text from Bryan, my heart beat accelerates from just seeing his name. Bryan has been my best friend since we were younger. He's a year younger then me so I was 8 and he was 7.
FLASH BACK TO DAY WE MET
I go down the slide giggling with my imaginary friend Sally, Once I reach the bottom there are 3 older boys standing in front of me. "Who are you talking to loser?!" The one in the middle said.
" m-my friend S-Sally." I say stuttering.
"You hear that guys? She has an imaginary friend. What a baby!" He yells laughing with his friends. I stand up from the slide and try to walk away but one of them pushed me to the floor, I started to tear up.
" HEY!! LEAVE HER ALONE!" I heard right before one of the bullies were on the ground. When he hit the ground they all looked at eachother with scared faces and ran off.
The boy walked towards me, sat down on the ground and pulled me into his lap. He then put his hands around me and rocked back and forth to get me to calm down. " it's okay, don't worry, I will always protect you."

Ever since then we've been inseparable.
I click on the notification and read the text.

While waiting for his reply I get out of the warm comfy sheets and head towards the bathroom. I put tooth paste on my toothbrush and begin to brush my teeth.
I hear a ringtone.
Quickly I run to my room and belly flop on my bed to look at the message. (Me asf)

I start to blush really hard once I read the word beautiful.
I decide to do something productive with my life so I go downstairs to eat cereal.
Once I get down I see my mom about to head out the door.
"Hey mom." I say while getting the cereal out of the cabinet.
"Hey Honey, I'm about to head out for work so I want you to do something with your friends. You know? Socialize like a normal teen." My mother says giggling a bit.
I join her giggle session.
"Okay I love you!"
" I love you too!" She yells while half way out the door.
Once she's gone I open the fridge to get the milk immediately getting goosebumps from the cold temperature.
Skip breakfast
I go up to my room and look at the time,
It's 2 pm so I decide to get dressed.
I rummage thru my closet looking for something presentable. I pick out a black crop top and some gray and white joggers.
I keep my hair in natural waves and put on a bit of makeup.
After I'm done I decide to just be lazy
and waste my time on Social media until he gets there.
