Could have been worse

Trish's POV

When we got back upstairs I saw that my mother had set out bowls of vanilla ice cream. "The toppings are on the counter over there help yourselves !" My mom said still faking enthusiasm .

The boys went over to get toppings and spoons. I noticed Liam looked uncomfortable. " um excuse me you wouldn't happen to have a fork do you"? He asked shyly. I saw my mother looked confused for a second then back to normal. "Of course Patrisha could you go grab a fork for this young man?" My mom asked even though I knew it wasn't a question.

I got up and went to the kitchen grabbed a fork and came back into the living room. I walked over and handed the fork to him. When he grabbed it he reached to far and slightly touched my hand. He quickly took the fork and said thanks.

Once the boys got everything we went up to grab our toppings. When we sat back down Louis spoke up.

"Um I don't mean to be rude , cause I mean this has been a great night, but what is all this for?" He asked carefully .

"Well all this was a surprise right?" My mom asked. We all nodded and grumbled our agreements . "Well we have one more for you!" Preston said looking at the boys.

I just get a weird feeling that this is not going to be a good surprise, I can just feel it in my stomach .

"The boys are going to be staying with us while they are going to school!" My mom shouted. "Well technically with you Patrisha because a you know we have a few month log trips here and there most of the school year." My father stated .

"And boys you were complaining about having to stay in that hotel." The Barbie said looking at them.

I didn't look around to see everyone's faces but I'm guessing they mirrored mine. Shock , disbelief , and I don't know worry or maybe that was just me.

No one said anything we kind of just sat there and soaked it in.

"Patrisha you know what the left-wing second floor looks like don't you so can you show the boys their rooms?" My father asked me . I just simply nodded my head as I got up I heard Zayn ask "What about all of our things ?"

"Don't worry it was already brought here it's up on your floor". Preston answered .

"Girls why don't you stay here and call your parents to tell them you will be staying the night . Oh and I got an email from the school stating Saturdays will now be in service days so no school tomorrow ". My mom informed us.

I gave the girls one last pleading face then turned and led the boys to "their" rooms. My house is shaped really weirdly

the front is in a curve and the whole house looks like a giant U then connects at the top of the house to make a huge attic.

We climbed up the stairs silently when we reached the second floor I saw a huge pile of suitcases and such.

I went to the first room and opened the door. "Whoever wants this one wants it can have it." As soon as I said it Niall walked and turned and said thank you for showing him to the his room. With that he grabbed his bags and walked in and closed the door. "Why is the rooms only on one side and not the other?" Harry asked . Well I don't really know its just one side is rooms and the others is bathrooms." I said back . "That's cool." He said looking around . "Second room is right there ." I said motioning to the second door a few feet away. Zayn said thanks grabbed his multitude of bags and went inside the room .

"Your house is really interesting ." Louis said. "Could you show us around tomorrow ?" Harry asked . I looked at him out of the corner of my eyes . "Sure I guess just make sure you get down to breakfast in time otherwise all the food will be gone." I said walking to the third room . I looked over to Liam he looked really tired . "Hey fork boy you want this room?" I asked pointing to the door . "Um no that's ok someone else can have it." He said looking at the other boys. They just shook their heads. "You take it Liam you look exhausted ." Harry said . He didn't protest and did the same as the rest of the boys. Before he closed the door he turned around. "Hey thanks Patrisha." with that he closed the door.

I waved to the fourth door which Louis claimed as his room . "Last room is all yours " I said to Harry and started to walk away. "Hey thanks for the room love ." Harry said with a wink then closed his door. When the door closed I turned and started to walk back. Then Liam's door opened , " How you like the room?" I asked . " It's amazing I mean just wow." He said excitedly . "Glad you like it oh by the way in your closet there is a door it connects to the next two rooms so you guys can see each other." I said . His eyes got huge and he said thanks yet again and ran back into his room to go find the secret passage ways.

It may not be the surprise I was hoping for but it could have been worse too!

Now to go talk to MY girls about how to handle this situation!
