The Adventures of Akumi Starlight

Chapter 2

Akumi decided to go on a job all by herself. The whole guild was worried, especially Emi and Erza. Afterall, Akumi was their "little sister."

Akumi picked a job which was held far away from Magnolia. It was a simple job but it paid a large amount. All Akumi needed to do was work in a cafe.

She set off to the train station with her exceed companion, Emily. They arrived in the town.

Meanwhile, in the guild...

"I'm worried about Akumi." said a concerned Erza.

"Juvia is sure she'll be fine. Afterall, she is a water dragon slayer." Replied Juvia, attempting to cheer up her worried friend.

Emi smashed her fist on the table. "I should've gone with her or at least followed her."

"You know you guys are overreacting right?" Said Mirajane. "Her job is super simple and hardly dangerous. Sure she is far away but remember that Emily is with her."

Erza and Emi finally calmed down. "By the way..." asked Levy, looking up from her book. "Where are Lu-chan, Natsu and Happy?"

"They went on job." Answered Wendy. "Coincidentaly, they are near where Akumi-chan works."

Juvia chuckled. "I just hope Natsu-san doesn't destroy the town and Akumi doesn't get involved.

"SHUSH!" Shouted everybody in the guild except Erza and Emi. Juvia regretted opening her mouth.

A dark aura surrounded them. They looked like they were about to explode.

"NATSU THAT BAKA!" Screamed Erza. "IF HE DESTROYS THE TOWN AND GETS OUR LITTLE SISTER HURT, I WILL TEAR HIM LIMB FROM LIMB!!!!"

"LEAVE THE HEAD FOR ME SIS!" screamed Emi.

They may not be related but their personalities say otherwise.

A week later...

After the whole Akumi debacle, Erza and Emi couldn't seem to calm down. Natsu and the others weren't back yet and so was Akumi.

Emily flew in through the window, carrying an unconcious Akumi.

"Please!" Cried Emily. "She needs immediate medical attention!" She laid an unconcious Akumi on a table.

Akumi was breathing heavily. Her face had a shade of violet and her temperature was boiling.

"What happened to her?" Asked Emi who was about to cry.

"Well..." Emily started. "On our way back from the job, we were caught in a fight between two mages. One of them can use poison. He threw the poison but it accidentaly hit Akumi. I flew to the guild and here we are."

"I'll try my best to heal her." Wendy cutted in. She started to sweat as she continued to use more of her magic.

15 minutes past and Akumi still didn't look good. Wendy collapsed on the floor. She was still concious.

"Wendy!" Shouted Carla, her exceed. "You shouldn't over do it. We'll find another way."

"No..." said Wendy as she rose. "Akumi is my friend and right now she needs my help."

Wendy was about to start again but the sound of the door opening interrupted her.

"No need child." In came the healer, Porlyusica. "I'll take it from here."

She walked over to Akumi and stared. She was in really bad shape.

"This will take a while."

She carried her into the infirmary.

Erza and Emi were pacing back and forth, worried about Akumi. Natsu and the others came back to find terrible news.

Everyone worried. Some of the girls were comforting each other.
The boys only looked at the ground, not moving a muscle.

Wendy kept crying. Cana, on the other hand, was so stressed out, she drank nonstop.

Porlyusica came out of the infirmary and sighed. Everyone looked at her, waiting for an update.

"What are you brats staring at me for?" Asked Porlyusica, annoyed.

"Um Porlyusica san..." Wendy started. "We want to know if Akumi chan is okay."

"Why don't ya look for yourselves? I'm leaving. Your faces make me sick."

As soon as the healer left, everyone stormed in the infirmary to find a sleeping Akumi.

Everyone sighed in relief which caused Akumi to flutter her eyes open.

"Where am I? Where's Emily?" Asked a confused Akumi.

"You are in the infirmary." Said Juvia happily. "And Emily is right here."

Emily hopped on the bed and hugged her comrade. They cried tears of joy.

Everyone, who tried to hide their tears but failed, attempted to give Akumi a hug simultaneously.

As soon as Akumi had a shocked face, an ice dome appeared, protecting her.

"You imbeciles!" Said an angry Emi." Can't you see she just woke up fron the poisen? She needs more rest. Now shoo!"

The whole guild left, complaining that Erza has influenced her too much. Juvia, Wendy, Erza, Emi and Emily stayed.

"Do you need anything else? Maybe some food to eat?" Asked Juvia.

"Do you want us to keep you company?" Asked Wendy.

"I don't want to trouble you guys." Akumi replied. "If you want, you can stay but I'm fine."

"You don't have to lie little sis..." Erza pulled Akumi into her armored chest, which hurt. "We will stay with you."

"Uh Erza..." Emi said "She got knocked out by your armor... you forgot to unequip it."

Erza released Akumi and gently laid her on the bed.

"What can I say... I am a hugger."
