Anger pulsed through my veins. It thumbed up from my feet to my chest entering my brain. Adrenaline flowed afterwards, electrifying my nerves.

Words stuck to my tongue, waiting to be released. They determined my future with the house parent currently on duty. Despite the obvious tension in my muscles and the whitening of my knuckles she still continued to lecture is with words she believed to be true, words she believed was the 'truth'.
She spewed words of how we don't respect her, how we don't know the word respect, how if we disrespected a boss we would be fired.
My captain stood to my left, gazing into  the wall while clasping her lips as if holding back all the words she wants to say. Her whole stance screamed the obvious anger contained in her body, but alas she continued on.
By that time my comrade to my right had already begun to let a smile creep on to her face. She can never stay serious for too long, especially with my captain and I in the same room. We were all a recipe for disaster and a large amount of laughter. It was just the way we clicked. Didn't matter what situation we were in, all we had to do was look at each other and we'd feel the humour never present in the room suddenly appear.
"Good luck to the house parent that comes after me"
Suppressing the urge to reach over and slap the woman, I clenched my jaw. My captain sung her head towards her, with a look of utter shock on her face. You could immediately sense the words she wanted to say. Words that would fill the room up like water, words that would effectively drown the house parent. However my captain knew when to start a fight, and it seemed that moment was now.
She launched over the table and held onto her throat. Seething, she uttered words my companion and I didn't hear but it seemed to shock the hell out of the house parent. She went as white as a sheet and her eyes grew wide.
My captain stepped back and calmly motioned for us to follow. Glancing back at her shocked face, I grinned. It was a grin full of teeth and the promise of worse to come for her.
