It has been two weeks since I gave birth to my two beautiful children and everything has died down... For now at least. I sit in the living room beside Anakin as we lay watching out the tower at the sunset."It's so beautiful.." Anakin smiles down at me,"Like you..." I smile up at him and he leans in kissing me softly. I kiss him back as I hear baby Luke start to cry. "I'll go check on him." Anakin gets up and walks in the other room to check on Luke as a knock on the door erupts. I stand up and walk over to the door and open it as Palpatine and stormtroopers emerge. I step back in fear and yell for Anakin. "Ani!" Anakin runs out of the room and stands beside me pulling me slightly behind him and pressing me against his back. Palpatine looks from Anakin to me and back at him. "It seems your wife is doing well.. May I see your children?" I grow angry and burst out, "WHY DO YOU HAVE TO SEE MY CHILDREN?!" Anakin snaps at me, "Padme.. Let him see them. He won't hurt them." I keep my mouth shut as we walk to the bedroom. I pick up Leia and hold her close to me as Ani picks up Luke handing him to Palpatine. "He will become a sith like his father when he grows older. We will train him.." He stares at me as I hold Leia close. "May I see the little girl?" Anakin gives me a safe look alerting me that she will be alright. I hand her to Anakin as he hands her to Palpatine as Luke is placed back in the crib."A young senator she will be like her mother in the republic.. A true gift of beauty like her mother." Anakin grits his teeth at the words he speaks of me. Anakin hands me Leia as we walk out to the living room. Palpatine walks over to me kissing my cheek placing his hand on my cheek.. "So beautiful.. Can't wait till she turns with us Anakin.." I step back as Anakin grows angry. "Alright.. I think it's time you leave." Palpatine slowly exits the room as Anakin slowly closes the door and looks back at me. I look down at Leia as she snuggles in her blankets up close to me and I kiss her head softly. Anakin walks over to me and hugs me and Leia close kissing me and Leia on the forehead. I begin to wonder what he meant by "Can't wait till she turns with us Anakin.." Whatever it meant.. I will protect my Children if it involves them...
