Chapter Three.

"I hate your big dumb combat boots and the way you read my mind."

A pounding attacked my head as I struggled to concentrate on what Laurie was ranting about as she looked through her phone with a bored expression painted on her face. I nodded softly as I scanned around the cafeteria for Nayeon and Sooyoung, I squinted slightly but just groaned as the pain suddenly intensified.

"Are you okay?" Laurie's voice brought my attention back to her as I furrowed my eyebrows and shook my head, my hands instantly flying up to rub my temples at an attempt to soothe the pain in my head.

"What's wrong?" She asked softly as I lightly laughed and looked at her with a small smile.

"I've just got a headache, which I totally blame Mr. Higa for." I stated as she laughed before nodding her head in agreement, she ruffled her hair before scoffing and looking at her tray.

"It must be some sort of punishment that they feed us this gunk." Sooyoung hissed as she slammed her tray down on the table and glared at the different colours that landed on her tray.

"Why don't you just bring your own food or go out then?" Nayeon stated as she smiled sweetly at her, twirling her hair mockingly as Sooyoung only glared.

"And where exactly where you last period?" Laurie asked with a quirked eyebrow causing a blush to dance across her cheeks as she shook her head and just smiled.

"Nowhere of importance." She sang as I looked at her unsure before sharing a glance with Laurie who went to open her mouth to speak but was instantly cut off with the all too familiar voice of Jungkook shouting across the hall.

"Hyung, you can't be serious!" He yelled attracting the attention of the almost full cafeteria, silence almost instantly took over as Jimin and Jungkook made their way to their usual table in the centre of the hall – a place which they have reserved since Jimin and Taehyung had been placed at the school.

"I swear, he told me out of his own mouth!" Jimin called back with a chuckle and a bright grin on his face causing Jungkook to laugh as all eyes lay on them.

"How is it humanly possible to be that perfect?" Laurie asked glancing at Jimin with a sigh soon following, I rolled my eyes but groaned as the pain once again attacked my head. The cafeteria doors flew open once again as footsteps bounced off of the walls. The attention of the room now lay on Taehyung who waltzed into the room, his confidence oozing as he ruffled his head and straightened out his blazer. His combat boot hit the floor and announced his every step as a glare rested upon his usually happy face, his eyebrows furrowed and lips pulled into a perfect straight line as he nudged his way throughout the tables until he sat down across from Jimin with an exaggerated sigh. He kicked his feet up onto the seat next to him and cracked his knuckles before dusting off his boots and leaning closer to Jungkook and Jimin to whisper something before his eyes cast over to our table with a slight smirk on his face.

"Why on earth is he smirking at us?" Nayeon whispered as I lazily shrugged before hitting Sooyoung who was returning a glare, she pouted whilst looking at me and shaking her head.

"Oi, earth to Laurie!" Sooyoung hissed as she jumped and awkwardly rubbed the back of her neck.

"Like, is there a need for the combat boots every day?" I huffed after a few seconds of silence as Laurie just rolled her eyes at me, she shook her head before once again focusing on the lump of food on her tray, a look of disgust displayed on her face as she pushed the tray away.

"I get fashion statements and all, but that is just an inconvenient one." I continued as Nayeon just giggled whilst biting into her apple.

"They're heavy and loud and dirty and not to mention completely against the school rules. Does he want to be put in detention every day? Does he want people to hear every footstep?" I asked rhetorically as Laurie just smirked and one again shook her head at me.
