1: "if you don't shut up i'll get my bat instead!"

Marylin look at the catcher, Mason, for the signal. it was practice and while everyone was batting, she was pitching. Ever since freshman year, she had been the only girl on the baseball team, only because she hated softballs after what happened at Terri Mallic's sleep over in 8th grade. As soon as Mason gave the undercover signal, a scratch behind the ear, she pitched a perfect strike. Allan, who was batting, looked baffled at first, then remembered who the pitcher was. the second time, Marylin pitched a change up, the pitch came so fast Mason almost didn't catch her famous outside strike.

Marylin struck everyone out so far, then she heard a very familiar, very cocky voice call from behind the fence.

"i bet 20 bucks, i can hit one of Marylin's famous '3 charmed strikes' each time" Jordan Michelle called out smirking, holding 20 dollars up.

"bring it pretty boy!" Marylin said holding her own 20 dollars up.

Jordan walked into the dougouts, a cocky grin on his face. he picked up Marlins bat, knowing it was her's and headed out to the left handed batting side.

"come on sweet cheeks, bring your best." he said smiling.

Marylin chuckled slightly, her teeth shinning brightly against her dark skin. she looked over at Mason, waiting for him to give her a sign to start. as soon as he did, she pitched a perfect strike effortlessly as always, but to her surprise, he hit it. Perfectly. She only thought of it as luck, and got ready for another strike, which she did. And again, he hit it. Marylin, as cocky as it sounds, was mad because NO ONE not even coach, could hit any of her strikes, she even strikes her uncle, a professional baseball player can.

"Come on Riccioni, i didn't think you would go easy on me." Jordan said, smirking at her. He had no helmet on and you could easily see the cocky look on his face.

Now everyone knew one thing about Marylin, if she was mad about something baseball related, DO NOT  mess with her but it seems Jordan didn't knew that.

Marylin was ready to pitch, Mason already gave her the signal to pitch. Now Marylin didn't know if it was rage, or a glare from the sun, or what. But what she did know is that baseball flying a high 74 mph hit Jordan in his perfectly cocky face

"oh gosh!" Marylin yelled running up to the boy who just fell on the ground.

"Why did you just hit my face Riccioni?!?!" Jordan yelled holding his eye.

"gosh for once Jordan i'm sorry!" Marylin yelled helping him to his feet.

Jordan's eye was reddish and the color was getting deeper. Marylin felt so bad, very bad, until.

"you know what, this is why they shouldn't let a temperamental little girl on the field!"

"You know what, you better be lucky that i didn't hit you with my bat! as a matter of fact, let's see if that would hurt worst!" Marylin said losing her temper grabbing her bat off the ground ready to swing before Mason grabbed her waist pulling her back from Jordan who was staring wide eyed.

Mason struggled to hold his best friend while she thrashed in his arms. He really wouldn't mind her murdering him with a bat but too many law suits.

Jordan watched as she stopped struggling and the boy in the catchers gear let her go. Marylin set the bat down and walked over to him.

Marylin always had this motherly nature about her. she grabbed his face and turned it to the side, examing his eye. she winced slightly grazing her fingers over it.

"go get a doctor for that." was all she said, before packing her and Mason's bags, and walking out of the doughout, only to turn around grab Mason's hand and walk back out again.
