After the talk my parents left silently, my dad patting my shoulder as he walked out. The door shut with a click and I was left alone with my thoughts. I almost instantly pulled my phone out of my pocket and put in my earbuds. I used music and videos to cope with the fact I felt like my life was falling apart by distracting me. I watched video after video, until my stomach growled, begging for food. You win this time appetite. I slowly crawled out of my room and walked down into the kitchen. My parents greeted me with a, "The creature has finally left the cave!" My dad smiling and my mom holding in a smile. I raised my brows and then turned my back to them walking for the pantry. I chose out of the wide selection of cereals, Rainbow Bitez. I poured my self a bowl and slowly munched on the sugary snack. My parents were whispering about me in the living room, I could hear them even with my earphones in. "Well should we tell the therapist?" "Of course we should this is serious why wouldn't we?" "I don't want her to feel like a freak when she starts at the new school," It wasn't hard to make out the hushed tones, our house echoes a bit so I made out every word. I finished my snack and slowly moved up back into my cave, where I only felt safe.
