"Aarohi?" said Ashwin.
Ashwin was sitting beside Aarohi's bed, his hand on hers. He smiled as Aarohi opened her eyes slowly. He had been sitting besides her for two days straight, frantically waiting for his love to wake up. Aarohi smiled on seeing Ashwin. He smiled back. None of them talked. Just stared at one another as if seeing each other for the last time, trying to grasp each corner of each other.
Ashwin slowly brought his hand and rested on Aarohi's cheeck. She looked pale. Her eyes sunken. Fine signs of wrinkles starting to appear on her once plum cheeks. It was like she had grown 10 years old in two days. Her eyes once bright and full of life was now dark. Ashwin stared at her as tears started welling up in his eyes.
Aarohi frowned as a tear rolled ofc his cheek.
"Hey. Don't be sad. Nothing will happen to me" said Aarohi as she brushed aside he tear with her finger.
"I promise to make sure of that. Even death has to pass through me to get you."
"I know. I know you will" she smiled.

"Sir, you need to fill this form up. The doctor has given this prescription and you need to immediately get these medicines." the nurse said as she walked into the room and handed him the peice of paper.
"Okay"
"I will be right back Aarohi" he said turning to Aarohi and flashed a smile. This was the first time in two days he smiled.
She smiled back.
