Chapter 2: I live in a science lab with the Nutty Professor
"Ring ring" my phone rang
"Hello" I said
"Hey a deep voice replied
"What’s up Aaron"
"I wanna know what your gonna do this summer, sapphire don’t make it like last year"
We laughed.
"As soon as I know I will tell you"
Aaron was a tall skinny boy, with caramel skin, that was in my class and lived next door. He was adorable but I couldn't let him know that. . We started to bond more last year of my 15th birthday. Now 16 we were great friends.
I dropped my bag on my bedroom floor and flopped myself on my bed. my room was clean and white it looked like a science laboratory, a bit like the rest the rest of the house. Sometimes I feel like a live in a science lab with the nutty professor. My parents are extremely clean and strict our house was so silent that you wouldn't believe me and my older sister live there. Only today you could tell by a smell. It was cigarette smoke.
I jumped up and stumped to my sisters room. I knocked her door while screaming "Diamond" for a girl like her I don’t know why my parents called her diamond. I heard ruffling of paper and plastic until I heard footsteps. The door opened with aggression but was only open enough so diamond could pop her head through.
"What?" my sister whispered.
"Are you smoking?" I asked with my teeth greeted.
"Yes what’s the prob"
"I will tell mum" I actually didnt know how mum couldn’t smell the aroma coming from my sisters room.
"ohhh I’m soo scared" she joked.
My sister was 18 but we weren't allowed to smoke until we were out of our parent’s house. I shook my head, my sister and I both knew I wouldn’t tell but she also knew if asked I would spill the beans.
The front door handle started to twist and my father stepped in on the phone. Diamond instantly slammed her door in my face.
"Can’t we reschedule?" my father asked on the phone. "Well am I supposed to do..." he was cut off.
"One week? That’s a long time"
"Hey dad" I said interrupting his call.
My father looks up and waved his face in a emotionless stare. He took his call in the next room.
I wondered what he was talking about but all I could worry about is that summer was doomed. Being stuck in the house with my family was killing me already.
Most of the time I stayed in my room and my parents would call for dinner. This is when the rush to get down our sturdy stairs began. "Sapphire, Diamond, can your come down please" my father shouted. Diamond and I swung out twin doors open simultaneously. And as usual the shove to get down the flight of stairs commended. Today was different though as i couldn't smell a sweet, savory aroma that was usually present. As we got into the kitchen there were no plates, pots or food out. The kitchen was absolutely abandoned, just me and my sister stood in the middle. We then turned around to see both our parents sitting on the sofa with a queer look on their faces. They smiled in a way to say welcome to the living room please sit. So we floated our way on to the sofa. The next words that played out of my dads wet lips seemed to want to run back in. They seemed false but were unforgettably true.

the day you wake up in a science lab with the nutty professor is the day i fly . good things never happen to me lool this is so random.
the day you remeber the crumbs around your mouth when your speaking to your crush that always ignored you but this sunny day he said your were funny. he probably means funny in a bad way but you tell your self its in a good way. then ten years later you look ten times better so he wants you but u no longer fancy a man who always ignored you and thought you were funny in a bad way.his left lonely forever.lesoon is : never have a a crush on a guy who dosent like you because he wil end up lonely :(
