Zachary Anderson's POV
We walked into the Treehouse, nestled in my backyard. Climbing the wooden steps, I held her hand. I smiled at her as we reached the top.
"Do you like it here?" I asked.
She nodded in reply. We chatted for a little while as the sun set into the horizon, slowing disappearing inch by inch. The bouquet of flowers were on the table top. I was dying to ask her, but I had to wait for the moment.
The sky turned into an orange hue, clouds scattered throughout. We continued to laugh and chat. Before we knew it, the moment had come. Our eyes locked and what used to be an atmosphere filled with laughter turned into utter silence. She smiled. I smiled back. And there was no turning back. We'd been dating for a few weeks now, but the sense of urgency was killing me. The sun set even more; the sky sank below the horizon, leaving behind a dark orange hue accompanied with beautiful clouds. The time had come. I had to ask her this question that burned in my heart for weeks.
"Emma Peige, will you be my girlfriend?"
