Laurayas POV~~~~~~~~~
The sky was growing dark, and the few street lamps that still worked flickered into life. Casting pale patches of orange light onto the crumbling pavement. Everything was still Lauraya gazed out waiting for the deep blackness of night and for the things that go bump.
"Come on, come on!" She muttered in frustration, pulling out a small crumpled piece of paper.
She read the message for the hundredth time ' When all light has faded and only the fake remains, be under bridge of three lanes, and there you will have the answers that you seek' She continued to stare at the message.
"Answers that I seek? What do they mean? I don't seek anything" She looked up and out of the window, almost all the light had faded now. Stuffing the piece of paper back into her pocket she pulled on her thick leather jacket and launched herself out of the window.
She landed in a crouch, eyes scanning the surrounding streets for any sign of movement. Knowing full well that anything out at this time was either very stupid or very dangerous, and she wasn't going to hang around to find out. Darting across the street she hid in the shadow of a rusted fire escape before starting to climb, the sound of her footsteps echoed in the nearby streets. Quickening her pace she made it on to the roof. 'Safe. Thank God.' She knew that nothing would dare come out here where there was no protection from the shadows.
Sprinting over the roof top she leapt between buildings ,strands of blue and black hair beginning to fall out of her pony tail. She came to a stop at the edge of a three story warehouse, opposite the bridge she assumed the note was referring to. She watched for any sign of movement. There. A figure steped out from the shadow's of the bridge looked around for a moment before retreating back in to darkness.
She sighed, running her hand through her hair. "Well its now or never." She muttered before launching herself off the building. Rolling as she hit the ground, Lauraya checked for any movement before loping off toward the bridge.
Unknown POV~~~~~~~~~~~~~
She was close. I could feel it, but there was something else closing in fast. Stepping out of the shadows, I swept my eyes over the surrounding buildings. I could see her partially concealed behind the wall, rimming the buildings roof. I stepped back in to the cover of the shadows. Waiting.
