-Angela's POV-

I kept running and running till I made sure he was not behind me no more.

I slowed down to catch my breath and looked at my surrounding.

"Excuse me, can I borrow your phone please," I asked the women who walked passed with her husband.

She nodded and grabbed her phone out of her pocket and gave it to me.

"Thank you," I said before dialling my mums number.

Come on mum, pick up.

Pick up.

Finally she picked up and answered in a weak voice.

"Hello?"

It sounded like she has been crying.

"Mum," I whispered.

"Angie?!" Her voice changed completely, "baby is that you?"

"Yes it's me," I replied.

"Where are you? Are you okay?" She started firing me with questions.

"I'm okay," I told her so she could calm down, "but I'm.... I'm in California." 

"What?!"

I don't know if she's pissed or worried.... Or both.

"Ma-" I stopped mid sentence when I saw Jace walking my way, "Ma I got to go, I'll call as soon as I can."

I hung up before she could even say anything back and gave the lady her phone before running away.

I looked back and saw him running after me with two of his men behind him.

I quickly ran into a store and tried to hide from him.

I hid behind one of the shelves and I waited till he would go and look for me somewhere else.

I didn't even get to ask my mum how she's been?

Is she coping okay?

How was her first day at work?

Will I ever see her again?

My fist tightened in anger and I started to get teary.

Foot steps came towards me.

"Do you think you could get away from me that easily?"

I knew who it was straight away.

Of course it was him.

Stupid ass devil. 

I stood up and walked away without looking at his face.

He grabbed my hand and stopped me.

"Where the fuck do you think your going?" He asked rudely, " don't think you can stay quiet and make me feel sorry for you because that's never going to happen, you and your father are criminals, you're-"
