Sadness. Disappointment. Unwillingness to do anything other than lying somewhere and curling into himself. This was what Harry felt after Niall left and he was one-on-one with himself. He didn't know why he felt this way because there wasn't any good reason for it. He didn't want to cry or anything, he just felt very down; the only thing Harry wanted was to lie on his bed or maybe couch and sleep.

Okay, so maybe Niall was that reason.

It wasn’t exactly Niall's fault; of course Harry didn't blame him. He blamed only himself. He got such a wonderful chance to talk with Niall somewhere beside work and he simply wasted it. He lost this one chance. You may ask why last chance because Harry could easily walk to Niall and start talking or even ask him to go with him somewhere. Ha ha, no. Harry wasn't from this type of people who made the first move. He was a very shy and awkward guy who felt uncomfortable almost with everything. He always was unsure about himself and thought that no one loved him in a romantic way. He could only make a first move if he was drunk, which didn't happen very often, only if Zayn forced him to go out with him to some bar or something like that. That's how all his one night stands happened: he got drunk because in some moment Zayn made him take some beer or even something stronger and after some time he was this handsome confidentguy who could make anybody want him. He understood that just sitting somewhere and waiting wouldn't help, his relationships wouldn't build by themselves, but he just really didn't know how to start them even though he already had a lot of relationships with a lot of guys. All of them started because his ex-boyfriends made these moves to get to know him better. If it weren’t them, Harry still wouldn’t know how it feels like to love someone in a romantic way.

He didn't know which questions he could ask or which topics he should talk about and about what he needed to be quiet; the whole idea about coming up to someone seemed absurd because he just really didn't know what to do.

Harry really wanted to be Niall's friend. Not just some guy from work, he wanted to be a real friend. He wanted to talk to him whenever he wanted and go out with him wherever he wanted; he wanted to have those moments with Niall when silence wouldn’t be uncomfortable at all, when they could just be quiet but at the same time don’t feel awkward; he wanted to have conversations with Niall, the real normal conversations, where they both would talk, not only these ones where Niall was talking and Harry was just awkwardly standing there and smiling politely. And maybe someday they would be a thing. Of course, it wasn't possible in all the ways but Harry could dream, right?

Being too deep into his own thoughts, Harry didn't notice that he already was standing in front of his apartment's door. He didn't know for how long he was simply looking at it but he hoped that not too long because, well, it was strange. Just imagine seeing some guy coming to someone’s door and staring at it; it's just really creepy.

Harry took a deep breath and slightly shook his head just to get rid of his a little bit depressed thoughts and reached intohis pants’pocketfor his keys. Finally, he found them and put the right one into the lock to open the door to his and Zayn's apartment.

The flat wasn't very big but not very small either. It had a long corridor with the kitchen and the living room on the right side and the bathroom with a toilet just straight in front of the front door; to the left and right from these two doors were Zayn's and Harry's bedrooms.

"I'm home!" Harry said as he stepped into his and Zayn's apartment. He put off his coat and shoes and placed them into the closet in their corridor; his bag he placed on the floor just near it. Few seconds went by and all that he heard was silence which meant that Zayn was still on his date or maybe he decided to stay the night at Perrie’s. Harry didn’t hear much about her, just a few things here and there, but she really seemed like a nice girl. Maybe after this date his friend finally would decide to end all these things with changing girls almost every night and stay with only one girl. Harry really hoped that he was right.
