Every time I try
To touch another's heart
It recoils and burns
The second I get close
And every time I try
To speak to another soul
They shudder at my voice
And push me away in fear
Why does everything I touch burn
And everything I love die
How are my words poison
Is everything about me a lie
I want you to live
I want to protect
I want to love
But at my touch you die

PoetryThese are just various verses and choruses in songs I'm working on. They can be read like poetry, but I hope to put them to music someday.
