I grab my books from my backpack and put them in my locker. After the Leona thing I couldn't stop thinking about her. She's just, beautiful.

Someone closes my locker with a slam. I flinch and look at the person. It was the one and only, Joshua. He was in the football team. I visibly gulp. This day's just turning around.

"Stay away from my girl!" He growls at me.

"I-i don't k-know what... You're tal-king about." I stutter. It's so hard to finish a sentence when you're scared.

"Leona! Stay away from her! This is what you get for touching her." He tries to punch me. But my reflexes kick in, and I dodge it. He tries again.

Now a big crowd has formed around us. Fight, fight, fight, they all keep cheering. I grab his fist before it hits my face and the other. He uses his force sooner or later I'm going to give up. He's stronger than me.

I see the crowd was parting. A small girl was walking towards us. I-is that Leona? She pulls Joshua away from me. Thank goodness, I thought I was going to have a black eye today. She grabs him by the collar and smacks him in the face.

"That's for ignoring me all day!" She smacks him again. "That's for trying to hurt my friend!" She said yelling. He just rubs his cheek.

Did she call me, her friend. I never had one before. Well, I have but, that was three years ago, I've been lonely ever since.

I look up. Joshua was giving me a death glare. She let go of his collar. "Move along! Nothing to see here!" She shoos away the crowd. I love her confidence.

"Why have you been ignoring me?" She whisper-yelled. I turn around and open my locker. I felt a pair of eyes on me but, I just ignored them.

"I can't tell you." was his reply.

"Fine. Be like that." With that she stomps away. He tries to yell after her, all she did was ignore him. I felt bad for that guy.

Not again. I pick my books off the floor. Someone tripped me again today, and school's over. I see a small figure in front of me.

"Need help?" That voice is familiar. I shook my head. It can be a trick, she asks for help, she pulls, she lets go, I get embarrassed.

"Help yourself..." She shrugs and doesn't go away. I look up at her. It's Leona again. I felt my ears go warm.

"I forgot to tell you. I found your phone on the floor on Sunday, it's in my locker." She nods. Her eyes showed happiness. We walked to my locker and unlocked it.

She must be embarrassed to stand next to me, The schools nerd. Heck, I would be embarrassed to stand next to me. I would get laughed at for liking Superhero's and reading comic books. No girl likes that. Then I got braces and glasses, I look like a total nerd now.

I open it and give her, her phone. She scrolls through her phone.

"Thanks. Give me your phone." She orders. I visibly gulp and give it to her. She types something in and hands it back. I look at my phone.

"Nice Superman case but, Wonder Woman's better." She gives me a playful wink. I felt my ears go warm.

"Why'd you come here for?" I ask. I finally had the courage to talk to her. I would give myself a pat in the back but, that'll look weird. She tilts her head in confusion. Dang she looks so cute and adorable.

"You never talked to me before, why now?" She nods her head slowly.

"Well, I want to be your friend. It seems you don't have many." She looks around.
