The sound of screaming children became louder as Jin reached the carnival. He was pretty sure he could smell the popcorn, funnel cakes, and vomit even from about a mile away; but at least he enjoyed two of those smells.

Carnivals came to this old town every year and every year the rides changed due to 'safety hazards' and 'health violations'. Pshhh- lame.

Jin let his feet wander through the endless stalls and games; trying to find something he hadn't yet tried, but everything was the same as last year this time around. So instead, why not empty out a stall that Jin was good at? He walked through the games and rides, trying to find the ring toss booth. He was sure to take home all the prizes once he found it.

Jin felt something hit his arm. "HEY YOU!"

He turned, facing the direction of the voice to a taller man with purple hair.

"You look like the kind of kid that likes to do ring tosses. You have tickets?" he smirked as he held up the plastic rings in his hand and gestured towards the pins on the ground.

Jin cocked up an eyebrow and nodded, "You've got good intuition. but yeah, I have tickets". He handed him the roll of tickets and sat down on the high chair as he accepted the rings from the purple-haired carnie.

"Yeah, my intuition is pretty spot-on. I used to guess people's weights" he smiled; causing dimples to appear on his cheeks.

"Don't get cocky now" Jin replied, smiling as he threw the rings; they landed on each pin easily without him having to try much.

"You should lower your ego as well, hotshot". The carnie gestured to the pins and rings, "I don't think I've ever seen anyone get them as easily as you do".

"I would hope not. I've been practicing for years now" Jin threw the remaining rings at the pins and smiled, "I win".

The carnie scoffed, "Take the prize you want".

Jin grabbed the largest stuffed unicorn he could see, "Later, skater". He stood up and started walking away from the booth.

"I'll be here all week" he bowed, "Wait- I never caught your name!".

Jin stopped and turned his head, "You can call me Jin".

"I'm Namjoon".
