"Don't be afraid to stand,"

Veronica Roth

First day of school was like the first scene in the movie, Mean Girls. In the movie, it might've seen not that bad, but truly, it does. Anyway, as I woke up this morning I saw a lot of unusual things like my bed, my boxes all had been unboxes. Maybe my mom did it for me when i was asleep. After taking a shower, I went downstairs to make a glass of coffee, you can see that, I can't live without my coffee. Damn it, I'm basic. I turned on my coffee maker and let the fresh beans brew. On this glorious morning, (more like afternoon) my mom as usual, still snuggling up with my dad.

I walked out as the sun rays blind my eyes and the afternoon breeze dry up my skin. This place is nice, but, lets be real, everyone hates moving out, but I guess it's time for me to start over. I went to the backyard with my palms still cupping on my hot coffee and dipped my legs into the pool and swing it gently underwater.

"Hi, neighbour," The manly voice almost makes me drop my coffee into the pool. I twisted to the right and saw a strange teen with a really good looking face. I thought I've seen him somewhere, but I don't recall. So, me being me, I simply just smile at him and give him as 'hi' nodded. He was standing behind the fence which was 10 feet away from the me.

"I'm, Manson Dallas, I live next door," he shouted through the silence. I stood up and walked towards him. Now, I was just 3 feet away from him.

"Yeah, I notice," I said, I took a sip of my coffee. "I'm Veronica , Veronica Roth."

"Cool," he said. "So, what you're up to?"

"Not much. Well, actually nothing," I told him the truth as i am literally bored to death and somehow this conversation helped.

"Hmmm, I'm heading to the beach, do you wanna join me?" He asked. Should I go there? I barely even know this dude. On one hand, spending an evening by yourself and binge-watch Netflix really does sounds nice but on the other hand, watching him at the beach is nice too. Wait what.

"I'm not certain. I mean, we're practically strangers," he laughed and the voice made my stomach flattered.

"So?" He sounded out demanding.

"You could be a serial killer or a really horny dude or even a bitch," he laughed even louder.

"Oh, come on, I'm not like one of those asshole jocks okay, im a nice guy." He lifted his eyebrows up and down which made me rolled my eyes. "Just tell your mom you're going out with me,okay?" I groaned and pursuit to woke up my mom, and told her. My mom agreed to let me, I was shocked at this act,as i was confused either they did this to kick me out or just greed.

Okay, lets be real, a hot dude just asked me, a potato head, to accompany him on a journey to the beach. Like a romantic first date. But me being me, i can't shake the feeling of a bad boy vibe coming from him. I should really stop judging people.

I altered my pants to a shorter one and wore a white long sleeve shirt with an owl graphic on it. I put on my boots, and followed his gaze to his car. I was hesitated since I have hardly known him and now i gotta awkwardly sat beside him with his face can't stop smiling.

"Please, stop smiling," I demanded. He grinned till his white teeth shown off. I signed in, annoyed. I don't know why, but I felt comfortable around him. He showed me around town for over 2 hours instead of heading to the beach. But I like it, this town have so many secrets that I have never known to be discovered. After a while of discovering, he pulled off to the side of the road and we held off to the beach. We sat down, on the sand without any blanket and my hand started playing with the sand.
