Oh yes!
Its a baby girl, says the doctor to the Singh family.
The parents seemed to be dancing in happiness. I am going to celebrate this day huge, says Mr. Singh.
All the family members go to visit Mrs. Singh and the little baby girl. Everyone seemed happy. The baby girl finally put her first step in her house.
Just then, things seemed to be changing.
Singh family was an Orthodox one. They were a joint family consisting of grandparents, uncles and aunts.
The little baby was named Bhumi. She loved being around her cousins Vipul and Deepika. Bhumi, being the youngest was given more attention which the other two couldn't handle.
She gets all the yummy stuffs to eat, says Vipul.
Yes bhaiya, we must do something about it, says Deepika.
Both of them burnt and threw all the toys that belonged to Bhumi.
This was just the starting.
Vipul's mother started disliking Bhumi too because her husband spent more time with Bhumi.
All of this started creating a vicious circle where Bhumi was just being a victim.II
Dress her up well, we need good photographs, says Mr. Singh to his wife.
Bhumi was dressed in a beautiful blue dress , with brown little sandals to cover her foot.
Bhumi is now going to turn an year old and the parents are going to get her photographed for her coming birthday.
Bhumi was a happy and a silent child , not much demanding as the other children. She got all dressed and was ready to be clicked.
Mr. Singh went off to get his car out.
Just then, bhumi's aunt bumped in, and "accidentally" threw milk on her.
Her dress and hair got dirty and Bhumi began to cry. The photography was thereby cancelled.
The Aunt seemed to be successful.III
Mr. Singh, you seem worried, what's the matter?, asks Mrs. Singh.
Its Bhumi's birthday today and Chacha (Uncle) is very ill, I'm scared, replies Mr. Singh.
Why what's the matter?
He's been ill since a long time and he hasn't informed any of us. He's in the ICU and the doctors say he is at his final stage of cancer.Bhumi's grandma heard them talking and just like any other Orthodox lady, she started to talk off her superstitious beliefs that It was because of Bhumi.
Its Bhumi's birthday and she is a disgrace on the family.
After 2 hours of this conversation, the uncle was declared dead.
There was supposed to be a celebration for Bhumi's birthday but it turned out to be a bliss.
The grandmother just blamed Bhumi's existence for anything that happened in the family. Will Bhumi resist all the blame over her entire life?
