The water tickles my feet as the waves rise and fall. I close my eyes and let the warm breeze caress my face and lift my hair. I listen to the sound of the water, the birds above and the chatter all around.
"Hey...Want to go out for dinner?" My friend asks.
It's been three months since I cancelled the wedding and two months since I've found myself again. My old company offered my job back and I accepted gratefully. I bought an apartment next to the beach and share it with my roommate, Nidhi.
"Yes, let's go!" I smile at her.
"Race you till the car." she screams.
"Get ready to lose!" I scream and run after her.
My parents understood my feelings and supported me. Today morning, my mom even told me that she's happy for me.
And I am happy for myself too.
After a really long time, I am truly happy.
