If you want to make a cover for this story just mail me ;3
This didn't turn out as long as I'd like, but hey! It's just a prologue. So let's get this done. Ima do the copyright and stuff first

The Hunted (Book one of the Abnormals series) IS a copyrighted plotline and anyone who steals it will:
*Be reported
*Be spammed with Dan Howell quotes
*be sent into the Walking Dead universe and be forced to have a fistfight with Rick Grimes.

Okay? Okay. Don't steal my plotline, because it's against wattpad rules, and it's just a really shitty thing to do. I will find out, so don't do it.

Prologue:

My name is Melody Black. A few years ago, you'd probably label me as the introverted, internet obsessed girl who was fascinated by horror show. Now, you could call me the survivor of one.
You're probably wondering how all of this started, so I'm going to tell you, in excruciating detail, everything I remember. The first event took place on November 18th, otherwise known as my sixteenth birthday party. I was sitting on an old bench in the middle of Mosgrove Park, where the party took place, thinking about the earlier heartbreak I experienced. Not that it's important, but that day, my boyfriend of two years broke up with me. I didn't actually know why, and I still don't.
Anyways, he broke up with me. So like anyone who was probably never going to find love again, I sulked. For hours on end. I felt all alone in the world, but I didn't even know what true loneliness was back then. I got ripped out of my stupid teenage thoughts by a tap on my shoulder and turned around to see my sister Gwyneth smiling back at me. "So there's the birthday girl," she says teasingly. "Whadduya say we go sing some karaoke?" I nod. Anything to distract me from my thoughts... It turns out, the song I had to dig was the one that held the worst memories for me: Don't Stop Believing.
As I was singing the chorus horribly, horribly off key, a scream rang out through the night sky. Everyone flooded to where the sound seemed to be coming from, which was an old oak tree that could barely hold itself upright anymore.
But I wasn't prepared for the sight. The sight of my third cousin Kristoffer lying in a limp heap, half his back torn out, blood everywhere, and the only clue we had was the inexplicable teeth marks that littered his skin.
Could it be a wolf? No. The marks were too dull. A human? Definitely not, a human would have the common sense to clean up after themselves. The questions in our heads were left unanswered, until a more feminine scream erupted. Only a few feet away from us, my best friend Abby was lying in a bush, the same thing having happened to her. That's when I broke down. I was paranoid, anxious, and overall sad as hell. When I looked up, the answer was there: a rotten, mutilated, all but human creature was limping toward me. Ever since then, things have gotten worse. Now pretty much 98% of the world have transformed into the same creature, and even more dying every day. Gwyneth and I were the only survivors from the party.
When the breakout became uncontrollable, they split all the survivors into different buildings so that the disease wouldn't get to us. That's where I am today-- mostly everyone has broken out of their building, and I am the only one left here.
Today I am going to escape from this building. I am going to find my sister, whether she's alive or dead, and I am going to survive this hell of a world until it's all over.

So that was the prologue... Did you like it? Yey? nay? Anyways, I'm going to go now, stay strange and goodbye!
*flies away*
