I spot the security guard's office. "Northwest corner," I whisper to the inside of my jacket. I crouch down slowly, trying not to arouse suspicion. "Okay," I whisper, "thirty minutes. I'll be in the car. You know the drill." As quickly as I can, I place Jay Catsby on the linoleum floor, and he immediately darts across the room. I've already lost sight of him. I stand up quickly. If the waiting patients noticed anything, it is not evident.
I exit the emergency room and head to the parking lot. I was only there six minutes. My job is done.
The rest of the plan is up to him.
