Later, he was walking his dog in the park near his apartment and speaking to Jeff on the phone.
"I just dont understand, Jeff," he ranted.
"What's not to understand? You haven't seen her in a while, why not get back in touch?"
Haru was inspecting a patch of clover a few yards away. "Yeah, but..." The fluffy white puppy was trying desperately to inspect a small yellow bee. "I dont know what she wants from me. We agreed to wait until she was out of school to reconsider everything, but she seemed really uninterested when i saw her." Haru was whining. The bee had flown out of reach.
"Talk to her, man! It's the only way to know for sure, right? What's the worst that could happen?"
The worst that could happen? There were a number of posibilities, none of which PBG really wanted to think about right then. "Yeah, I guess you're right."
"Good! I'm expecting an update, then." Jeff sounded satisfied, a childish lilt in his voice.
He couldn't help but chuckle. "When exactly?"
"By midnight." He blinked a few times in bewilderment. Jeff was expecting him to text her tonight?
"Uh, okay."
"Good. With that out of the way, what do you want to do for our next video, then?"
He grinned and turned back to Haru. Jeff always knew what to say. "I think it would be interesting to cover a really bad game for once. Like, a dating sim, or something."
