Brother,
I'm writing to you from prison. I'm sure you know this already, I... Shit, I've been here for the last decade and my parole time's coming up. You know that already too.
I guess I just wanted to remind you that I love you very much, and as your brother, I will always protect you. The last time you were here, I know we didn't end things so well but don't think about that. Whatever I say, I want you to know I don't mean any of it. Except for the part where I swear to you that I'll always be there for you.
That part I mean it. I've always meant it.
How's Catherine doing? You told me you and her were getting married. Honestly, I'm happy for you and I'm proud of you. You're doing so well; I've always known you would do well. You're the smart one. I won't be there for your wedding, I'm sorry. I don't think Catherine or anyone in that godforsaken town will want to see me anyway. I'll probably catch a bus to nowhere once I get out. Anywhere but there.
I'll write you letters. I know we've got shit like Facebook now but I like writing letters. Keeps my hands busy.
Think of me,
Michael
